There's 35 tickets left at $12/ea. (no extra BS fees either) http://www.austintheatre.org/site/Calendar?view=Detail&id=25320 This will be showing at 11am on Saturday March 12th. I bought two tickets, but there is a chance I (and you, if you buy a ticket) will not be let in the theater. This is a SXSW event. The lines could be long and of course, those with SXSW badges get priority. IF I do not get in, within 20 minutes of the movie, I can get a full refund. Worth the risk. But also dealing with SXSW crowd is ridiculous. This is the first year I'm not doing any SXSW work, so no platinum badge for me.
I was just about to post that too....... Also showing, same venue March 17th 7:15 pm if you cant make the first showing http://schedule.sxsw.com/events/event_FS11457 -ben
Thanks Ben! But... Thursday is the second night of the SXSW Music festival, which means at that hour, downtown becomes hell, or one helluva party!
I remember flying home on the Monday after SXSW. It fell in between my Spring Break. I got to the airport at 6AM for my 8AM flight and the line went in and out of the door. I was a few minutes late getting on my plane, but thankfully they delayed the flights by 20 minutes. I've never had to wait in line at ABIA, never. Everything becomes hell
Yea, I'm worried, I have a flight out on Sat the 19th, and I'd be very worried if I miss it. AUS-LAX-HKG But yes, flights in and out of Austin, not too bad. The lines seem long but they go pretty quickly. People in Austin are overall laid back and cooperative to get things done.
I just picked up a ticket for myself and a friend for the Sunday screeening. Anyone else from FChat attending?
The Senna film will eventually be available on Netflix. You can put it in your queue now, but there is no release date yet.
I'd love to go Sunday, but I don't see a Sunday screening? Is Sunday also at The Paramount? I do see Thursday. Thanks very much, Mark
Hey Everyone! If you see me at the events for the Senna film, be sure to say hi. I'm one of the Grid Girls for the events, and it'll be nice knowing there are some non-strangers out there. I'll look out for you, Randy! For the rest of you, I'll be the short one
Fantastic movie. They should have had Kleenex boxes ext to every seat. Director had Q&A afterwards. A few notes, diff material than I have seen before (I have many DVDs and books on Senna). Great narration from his contemporaries but mainy him. Brought back many memories. Some great and some not so great. Very much recommended.
