recommended lodging in OBX > KDH or Nags Head?

    My wife and i are planning a drive to the outer banks the first week of May. I cant seem to find a decent hotel/resort to stay in, they all seem to be 2 star Days Inns and Best Westerns. Were just going to be there for 2 nights, most vacation homes are a min of a week.

    Any suggestions for a nice clean ocean front hotel or home?

    try the hilton garden inn around mile marker 4 of the OBX/KDH. it is very nice and is ocean front.
    probably the best chain hotel down there.

    mmmmmmm I wish but i have two new born babies .... i just cant but man that sounds nice. I'm an expired licensed pilot but ever since getting married and two new babies my wife won't let me "owned" but when i think about it, my dad died walking across the street, and i still do that but but hang gliding may be pushing it. thank you for the offer.

    Understandable, it's not for everyone. I just flew this week with the flight park manager from Kitty Hawk and it was great. Have a great trip. I don't know of any great spots to stay but I'll try and remember to check with my friends out there and see what they say.
