Not so keen on the lime green and the off yellow colored cars.

Don't forget, these cars where launched in the late 1960s/early 1970s, a time of passive resistance, psychedelic music and psychedelic art.
Personally, I think these cars are extremely cool and far more interesting than the boring re-sale red, and I wasn't even a mere twinkle in my fathers eye in the 60s or 70s.

Yes, you should have seen my viper green 1972 911S and tangerine 914/6 parked up next to each other....it would make you want to grow sideburns and put on your bellbottoms!

134,000 Euro for a true Ferrari hot rod. Sounds like a good deal to me! (I'd love to roll that baby into the Classiche shops, just to see the looks it would get!) Love that color...I don't think I've ever seen it before.

Thanks for all the pictures. Please keep them coming.

    Jack.

I hardly believe that an F1-engine in a GT-car is an option in the daily traffic.....

    Ciao!

  17. I saw the GTC4 in Stuttgart. Standard motor without original air filter. It seams that the first owner was Gina Lollobrigida.

I'm hoping next time we meet at the GW Revival, I'll be in my freshly restored 365 Boxer with flared trousers and stick-on side burns. I've got the 8-track tapes already! BTW - I just got into the GRRC so can get into the paddock on my own steam next time. It's all coming together... slowly.

Thanks for posting that, the pictures are great.

I still think my silver Dino 2400 looks better than the silver one they had though. ;)

Excellent, Onno. GRRC has some wonderful driving/touring events in Europe. Even though I can't take advantage of them, the club membership is still worthwhile just for the Goodwood Revival access. I do plan to take advantage of one of the GRRC track days, though, where you get three or four laps each in an E Type, a DB4 and a Lotus Cortina.

    Welcome to the club!

    Jack.

The german sales sheet for the 365 GTC pictured above does not mention a F1 engine.
What it does say is that Gina Lollobrigida is believed to have been seen in an orange 365 GTC in Cannes in 1972, not neccesarily her car though or her at the wheel.

But does it matter? Gina is nice in any car and the 365 GTC is fantastic even without Gina.

ooops my first post here, no introduction, sorry...
