I posted this in the tech section but thought I should also post it here. Hoping someone can help. In the process of replacing the airbags in my 360. Im getting an error code 08 Drivers side airbag 1 degree- stage short circuit. The airbags and the airbag module are new. Any ideas? Also, the oil pressure gauge is at full deflection. One would assume that the oil pressure sensor has crapped. When I disconnect the sensor the gauge still remains at full deflection. I am getting error code 18 Oil pressure sensor. So now Im not sure if its the sensor or the instrument cluster. Any input would be appreciated.
not sure about your airbag problem, but I had an oil pressure problem on one of my cars (modern Ferrari, can't remember which one) and the oil pressure sensor was broken, the gauge showed high oil pressure. Best thing I can suggest is get a multimeter, check resistance changes when oil pressure will fluctuate. If no change in resistance, pressure sensor kaput. Regards Mike James
I agree, but you would think that when I unplug the sensor the gauge should move from full deflection.
No, any error, be it in the wiring or sensor itself shows as maximum pressure, just as a precaution to make sure you saw the problem
