Dave, help a brother out, just send that radiator to Ernie, I promise the gesture will come back to you 10-fold, and do wonders for your karma!
Such a gesture would almost certainly push Ernie off the fence and onto the right side!

Under the circumstances, if I had a good used radiator around, I wouldn't just give it to anyone, but I would sure as hell give it to Ernie!

Or, Ernie, ship me the radiator, I will have my buddy at Pickarts Radiator fix it to as-new condition in a day or 2, and ship it back to you, MY TREAT!

Ernie see the good sides of it...

A Ferrari ownership makes us better people who wants to help other people, more clever when **** happens, very good mechanics! we learn to meditate finding problems and much more....
I make my Doctor work on my 355,after 4 years of ownership i feel I can repair a Spaceship :D

See it that way....its fun some how........

What would you learn in your Life with a Mercedes in your Garage???

Dr Who. You can change battery from the engine compartment. It´s not much extra space and you have to tilt the battery. If you´re a woman you will most certainly break a nail.

Ernie. I´ve had 348:s without any problems. Sorry to hear about your problems and mixed feelings but if you had it buy an Audi. In almost all aspects the opposite to a Ferrari.

Ernie, these things just happen. I've got a Lancia integrale Evo2 that has cost me an arm and a leg, but I never ever considered selling it. Whenever I look at it, or get round driving it, I just forget what it cost me.
I'm sure you'll regret selling your Ferrari if you did so.

    You know, while we wait...

I have always wondered how you guys can stay with one car for so long. Here's a list of the cars I have loved in the last 12 years:

    1973 ½ 911T
    2001 E55
    2002 996 C4
    1998 550 Maranello
    2003 996 TT
    2004 Challenge Stradale
    2004 Maserati Spyder
    1967 330 GTC
    2006 C55
    2007 SL 55
    2008 MX-5
    2009 Cayman

And here's the rub, I'm probably less out of pocket than Ernie. (Okay, I got lucky with the GTC, but who's counting?)

With so many cool cars out there, why dance with just one?

I hated my 348. All sorts of electrical gremlins for me.

I only consider 4 of those cars I would admit to. The others are low level transpo. I say things like the mercedes? Ummm...mercedes that's my wife's car. Umm...bmw that's my daughter's car. Truck....that's to pull my racecar.

But I am trying! I got moton double adjustables partly installed, and I'm working on welding up a rear cage for a little rollover protection and to anchor my shoulder harness. It now rides on DOT race rubber. These are all bad signs...

Awlrighty, FBB. I'll have to buy the C55 back and then we can match up. Wife's car, my ass. :) (Although she did get pissed off when I sold it to buy the Cayman.)

But if you're gonna bring your C5, I'll bring a truck, and we'll see who lifts first! :)

I've decide to keep the pile.

To try and sell it in this Great Recession, and of some of the ridiculously low numbers I've heard (I may have been pissed off, but that doesn't make me mentally retarded), I would have really lost my ass on it HUGE! Even more so than trying to keep it on the road.

I do like the car, and it is fun to drive. As has been pointed out, I think my car would have qualified as not only a lemon, but a lemon TREE. It was just my very bad luck to end up with a car as horrible as this one turned out to be. My problem is that I am so stubborn (sometimes to the point of stupidity) that I just won't quit. But man was I EVER so close with this one, on the razors edge.

So my temper tantrum has finally passed, and it's time to man up, and do like I always do............ fix the b!tch.

THANK YOU all.........for your support. I really appreciate it, and it did help me get through my frustration with the car. Thank you guys.

Glad you decided to keep the car... or you can get a 12 cylinder like a few others have suggested...
