I have an annoying glove box squeak on my 575SA. I assume that it is the same as other 575s. I have already given the hinge mechanism a shot of silicon lube. Any ideas?

Are you sure it's the glove box?
My 550 sounded like a hamseter was trapped in there, and it turned out to be the fuse box's lid under the passenger's carpet. One of its fasteners was not closed properly.

A good exhaust will cure most squeaks

You could try to place a little piece of felt (or two) between the glove box door and the glove box compartment lip to see if the squeek stops. If so, then make a permanent felt installation...nice round circles for example.

First you need to make sure that the noise is actually coming from the glove box. Many squeaking noises that happen on the outside of the car such as "bushing noises" will feel as if they are inside and coming from that area. Try pushing slowly up and down on the fender to simualte a bumpy road and cause the suspesnion to move, and listen for any noises on that side. We have had many situations with bushing noises that the customers thought are coming from inside the car. Good luck

I had a squeak coming from that area which turned out to be a loose piece of trim along the lower part of the windshield outside of the car.

If I press on the glove box door, it stops. If I put in a felt bit it continues. Thanks for the ideas
