Actually i work on the tubing water in stainless ;
and little on my jide .
this sunday they are in the south island , a meeting old french car , i shall put some beautiful pictures , yesssssssssss is not lamborghini , but its cultural french car .

i am always connect , but dont talk many and dont post photo my restaure counatch , because ,,,,, .

Ok , i lose one month for the painting , the preparation the body are very longer , after i make 2 choise for the color ( sorry joe ) , and i decid paint it in ,,,,,,,, surprise .
Normaly i musted paint saturday , but the pait shop don't have my color , normaly monday .
Hum i must see with my chief if a can take wenesday and paint it my home .

ok we want many photos , i promise you the next week .

i wait a long time to find a solution , but ,,,,,,, i know its not your problem , its only mine , but i think , we must say that is no good also ..

Nous aussi, on poste pas forcément sur ton topic, mais on (les passionnés de la métropole!), on le suit de près !
Moi aussi j'étais au mans classic, et c'est vrai que cela reste un des rares endroits ou on peut voir rouler un sacré paquet de countach, et ça reste toujours un choc!

Bon courage pour la suite, et encore Bravo pour tout le travail qui a déjà été abattu!

 

Courage Christian. Les Countach a carburateurs se font rares et surtout cheres. Je ne sais pas ou elles vont car elles deviennent de plus en plus dures a trouver.
Pour ceux qui sont en France, j'ai l'impression qu'il y a plus de police contre les exces de vitesses que le reste. L'annee derniere a mon retour, je n'arretais pas d'etre flache partout et j'avais juste une voiture de location normale.

Hold strong Christian. Carburated Countaches are becoming scarse and expensive. Not sure where they all go as they are evermore difficult to find.
For those in France, I get the impression that the country becomes a police state against speeders rather that dealing with real police issues. Last years I got my radar picture taken many times on the road and I just had rented a average family car.

Tout ce passe bien , dimanche on glisse le moteur dans la voiture et j'espére entendre le rugissement du taureau de combat ( ca rugit un taureau ?) pour mes 49ans ( le 28 mars ).

Promis dés la semaine prochaine je met la suite des photos de cette restauration , les 3 mois de peinture on était "chiant" mais le résultat est la et surtout il n'ya que mes 10 doigts qui ont oeuvrés sur la belle .

Ben oui , effer elle n'est donc pas noir , image et explication bientot .

PS a robinou , oui le lmclassic c'est trop beau , toutes ces countachs , je serai au lmstory avec mes copains JIDE cette année encore .

A countach QV , je rêve d'une QV a carbu comme la tienne , ou d'une LP400 , les Miura trop belles mais vraiment trop cher , intouchable pour un petit fonctionnaire .

after many PM about this bad story , i think the time arrive to talk you only truth and we can be make your opinion .
i try simple with me english .

When i begin talked in this forum about my restaure countach , and the difficulty to find some motors parts with correct price , One member writed me to propose help , she sayed i can buy parts in italia a good price .
I send he my list : 2 gasket head , and the complete main bearing ( i just buyed rod bearing with maseratisource in EBAY )

HE answoek me the price 1753,45€ , no "devis" only 1753,45€.
he writed " 2 gasket head , and rod + main bearing "
i sayed he , i have the rod bearing , please say me the price only gasket and main bearing .
the answerk , its no possible sale only main bearing , the shop sale the complet motor .
HUMMMM its strange , Mr ciclet can buy for me ONE half bearing , and in italian i must buy ALL , may be , why not , and the shall have a set of rod bearing for the next restaure .

i was compare with CICLET's DEVIS ( complet , all parts with number serial and price , taxe ) its cheaper approximative 500€.
Ok i go with italian way , i ask the number bank , to send the money , and tomorrow i go my bank to send the money , smile , i shall give my parts in 2 weeks ( i think ) .
The member take holiday and say me he go to the shop in 2 weeks , after its the shop cannot have parts with the factory lamborghini , first the gasket ( little smile ) and after the bearing , ouffff , i lose 2 MONTH ( its not here the problem ) but i shall have my parts .
i give a adress one friend in french must go rapidely in holiday my home .
When my friend arrive my home , the first its to open the package to controle the parts , 2 gasket =ok , gig bearing , big bearing , its complete for main = ok , but where is the 24 rod bearing ?????????
i write italian member , and he sayed , i dont controle , sorry , i think all is ok . i think 24 bearing its very importante who i cannot see that ???
he sayed i must go the shop to try understand , the answerk , the shop make error on the price and they ONLY sale me main bearing and 2 gasket for 1753,45€ .
Its strange , this "new" price is perfect the same suposed with rod ?????
I asked the facture , they are no facture , i want one facture , everywhere you buy parts in the world , you have facture , this story about facture live 2 month .
And in finality , he send me MY facture , the date is fault , no taxe , a simple excel paper .
Afetr i try remember the film , no devis , he sayed i had the rod bearing , its this parts have no delivred , no facture , all this story fault .
and me i sended a present package with many speciality in my country :80€ speciality + 70€ shipping , iam too pretty .
I was prefere this member sayed me , i can have parts low price , but i take a commission , i undersand that its normal , but no this HArnac .

and now my side of the story

i contacted Scoraf for body parts he needed for the countach (flares, wich i have)
i gave him a price on these parts, (all flares for 800 euro, a good deal!!)
wich he decided not to buy
COOL! no issue for me


then he needed engine parts for his 5000S countach (wich i do NOT have or sell)
i suggested him to buy OEM head gaskets since my understanding is all best lambo shops locally use them and not repros!

this is my mail to Scoraf
"as for head gasket:
i do not have them, i suggest you to buy original ones from lamborghini dealer
IF (important!!!) you cannot find them, i will help with lamborghini part dealer, ok? "

wich he replied
"ok , good information , yes i need original head gasket lambo , say me how many with your dealer .
because in eurasparts in english they are expensive "

then he e mailed me and tell this:
" you see on lambo chat , the evolution in my motor , actually i find all parts i need , and i dont find complet bearing crankshat and complet (x12 ) for bielle .

can you find them for me , with your lambo shop ?"

wich i replied

"hi Christian

i got the price for bearings

they told me

E. 1662.46 + iva

not cheap, sorry"

then he only needs and wants the main bearings, wich i got an answer from supplier:
not possible, only complete sets!

then, some time later he asked me again for more prices :

so i called lambo official parts dealer to help him (please remember i do NOT sell these parts!!!!)

i got him a first quote for:
complete bearing set
axial bearings
2 head gaskets
all NEW lambo official parts!


this time (for a mistake made by supplier or factory) the bearings quote is MUCH lower
bearing set (cranck + rods ) 969.25
4 axial bearings 252.81
2 head gaskets 657.79
2 air filters 109.20

Scoraf bought the parts and sent money

IMPORTANT: he buied and paid the shop!!! (NOT ME!!)
i just helped him (all for free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as i did with other members here in l power or lambo-talk)

then yes, as Scoraf said i go to the shop, collect parts and put everything i got and sent him all in one pack (to save on shipping)
and true: he sent me a gift for my time (local specialties), very kind from him

he got the pack, wrote me about the lacking of rod bearings, so i called the shop again

keep in mind: it is true that the shop only got him the main bearings!
shop told me that the second quote they sent was wrong (from factory) so they managed to split a complete set and sent only this
they also told me they sold the bearings under what tehy paid!

i asked of course if it was possible to have the other bearings, wich they could not do, having already lost money on this

i spent a LOT of time on this for parts wich:
- i did NOT sell!
- i did NOT earn a $!!!
- were not for my car

i tried my best but i believe the under 1000 euro quote is not correct since i paid around 1500 for my 400S bearings!!

i told Scoraf try to ask price to an official lambo parts dealer, you will find out the correct price
he was ok with me not being faulty

then 15 days ago called me for having 400 euro...from me !!
????
wich i did not sent! again, i helped him in contacts but how can he asks me money???
i offered him to pay for the pack since he does not believe me

as many can attest i bought-sold cars and parts with members
i even helped many guys finding cars and parts for free!!!

i am clean, i am sorry for the issue but i am NOT responsible in ANY WAY!!!!!!!!!!!

i spent a LOT of time and effort in this, i did not earn one $ and now i have to defend myself on a forum....

i am very sad

 

i would like to add that after Scoraf got the parts,
we continue to chat about cars by e mails
i even helped him finding the countach color chart on the net

he had no issue with me until 15 days ago

I have done quite a bit of business with Emilio buying parts for my DD Countach and he has always been a stand up guy to deal with. Some of the items I have purchased through him have been a complete Stainless Steel Ansa exhaust, another complete steel Ansa exhaust, a Countach steering wheel, some engine parts, etc.... the list goes on and on and never once did I have a problem. I will even go on to say how much of a STAND UP GUY he is, when I had the Stainless Steel Ansa installed on my DD it did not sound right. The mechanic that installed it said it sounded like it had a broke baffle inside of it. So I notified Emilio that day and he APOLOGIZED GREATLY and had another brand new Stainless Steel Ansa made and shipped to me right away. After I received the new Ansa I then replaced the broken one and shipped him the broken one. For the record I live in the USA not Italy. To ad another, I have told some friends (that live in the USA) about Emilio and they as well have had a Great experience buying parts from him as well. All I can say is Emilio has been a PLEASURE to do business with and AWESOME to talk Lambo with.
