I have nevre ever had an issue with Emilio...bought and sold stuff back and forth..always comes through..

I am sorry this happened, but sound 110% like an honest mistake from a member just trying to extend out a helping hand.

    Christian,
I'm sorry you're having trouble with your order, but I really would ask you not to be so hard on Emilio. I've done several deals with him both as buyer and seller and there has never been any trouble. In fact I owe him a great deal for his assistance on the Ansa exhaust for our LP400. So I really would trust his word.

We've had trouble dealing with the factory sources for parts as well, they can be frustrating and sometimes make mistakes.

Good luck with your project, we've enjoyed watching the thread.

OK now I'm back from my 2-mile run so my brain is in gear, or at least it better be!

Its important to note that when you come on a PUBLIC forum and post "BAD STORY WITH MEMBER CHAT", you are making serious allegations that are likely to irreparably damage the reputation of the person you are accusing, so you better have a cast-iron case without any doubt against them. It is easy to damage a person's reputation, and it often never fully recovers because many people believe where there is smoke, there has to be a fire. Clearly, there is room here for a misunderstanding and circumstances that could not be helped. Clearly he extended a helping hand, and that hand got bitten. These things happen, and you could have used the Private Message system to check out with other posters (such as myself) whether Emilio is an honest person or not, and what course of action to take, rather than publicly declare that essentially he is a bad person. That's not cool, not to mention the legal implications of that course of action. The Lamborghini world is smaller than most think, and Emilio is one of the gears in the world of Lamborghini parts. Now, perhaps others that can help you will be leery that if things go wrong they will be hung out to dry, and perhaps you will now find that certain doors that were open to you might now close. That's the way this community works, and I have seen people who think they know it all try and 'beat' the system by going around those who make an honest living, get their reward, time & time again. I suggest you give some thought to this and take another perspective..

  7. I think something got lost in the translation, and an honest misunderstanding. Again, I'm another person happy with Emilio. He is an asset to the Lamborghini community.

That's also my opinion, an helpful italian guy communnicates with a french based owner in english, the language together with the time difference and distance doesn't simplify the understanding.

I would never say a bad word about Emilio, he's a standup guy as far as I can tell.

    +1000...
Like many on this board, I'm also very gratefull to the help provided by EMILIO, as I've wonderfull experience buying Lambo part from him.

As Joe has perfectly resumed the allegations definition, I will ad my personnal touch to your "complaining profile" Christian... and everybody on this board will make his own opinion.

I've shipped you the new old stock head gaskets I had in spare after you paid for reasonnably. Then you complained because they were slightly damaged with pictures to prove. They were not damaged when I shipped them to you... I know you are living near sea in a salted area, but it doesn't explain. When you asked for a refund I was on holidays in Italy for 6 weeks and I told you YES I will, what I did when I came back to Brussels, probably not quick enough for you. I didn't argue with you about the responsability of the damaged item...even if I was 100% they were not damaged when shipp to you. I just refund without any question as I'm not stressed with 400 € less in my wallet like you seem to be... You promised me to shipp back them for November : NOTHING. Then you told me you will be in France in December and you will shipp from France due to a lower cost, OK. I waited more => NOTHING. In the end of January, I told you I was still expecting MY ITEMS to be collected back for months !!!

Last 24th January, YOU answered me this : "VOILA , tes joints sont expediés par bateau , il n'y a pas le n° de suivi , mais il arriverons dans 1 oU 2 mois. J'ai volontairement trainé pour l'expedition , car , d'une part j'ai étais trés décu que tu m'envois des joints INUTILISABLES tu jugeras par toi m^me , et que tu mettes également TROP longtemps pour le remboursement ." in addition to a Post ticket dated of 22nd January showing nothing about expedition to Belgium.

Translation : "HERE are, your joints are dispatched by boat, it does not have the n° of follow-up there, but it will arrive in 1 or 2 months. I voluntarily have waited before forwarding, because, on the one hand I have stays very disappointed that you me sendings of the UNUSABLE joints you will judge by yourself, and that you put also too long for refunding".

    What a poor miserable mentality...

Today 17th March, I still never get my head gaskets back but you are refund for last 6 months.

Here is now my conclusion : you came here at L-Chat to talk about your nice restoration work but also expecting to get helping informations from our community... look at yourself in a mirror... ask yourself who you are... before coming on this board to blame someone like EMILIO !!!

    FOR OLIVIER NAMECHE ,

2nd time that you show your poor miserable mentality... you make this to surface, accept the fact now WE react and show to everyboby WHO you are !!!

The pictures you show are not my items, my belief is you are a ch... trying to save money over some brave people from this board, as I consider myself, Emilio and so many others guys over here for years. You just show up last year in May about your restoration project, good story !

About my items, I strongly believe you asked for refund (what I did) with the intention to keep them.

    You NEVER sent them back.
You just admit & wrote now in public your lies about the excuse & conditions of items + several postponed delays to shipp back.

TODAY I STILL HAVE NOT THEM IN HANDS, it means you kept them for free, end of story.

    Christian,
Non, je ne suis pas professionnel, ils sont d'origine et je les avais acheté en 1996 pour ma Jarama GTS, j'ai aussi une Islero GT en cours de restauration.

    600 € => 500 € cest le prix payé à l'époque, les 100 € c'est le shipping UPS.

Je veux bien te les céder pour 400 € frais de port inclus à l'Ile Beauté.

Si on est d'accord, dis le moi je te communique mon BIC + IBAN.

    Cordialement,

for 500€ I would keep my mouth shut, the gaskets for a LP5000s cost nowadays 1000€ non factory price.
When I sell something and the client is not satisfied I want first the so called damage good back to check the problem then I would reimburse.

I see here a debate/dispute going on with only loosers, I suggest to solve your issue like men and keep it off the forum.
I have my opinion about this matter and I think a lot of others too.

    scoraf,
i am perfectly ok not to comment on your topic ...i have better things to do at this time
not to mention the beginning of this year has not been the best for me (personal reasons)

you should realize that when you call me out on a pubblic forum, it is all an other matter
i had to defend myself from your accusation

to me the thing is finished, i think anyone here can take his own conclusions

i'd like to add i never had an issue with any other lambo forum members (of course Olivier included, must be noted this good guy spend a LOT of time and effort to share his knowledge on vintage cars on this forum....and you know what?? for free!)

on the other hand i want to say a BIG TKS YOU to ALL the members that posted about me!
GRAZIE GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!a bad day became a good one tks to your support and kind words

after some years of lambo ownership i realized the best things about our hobby is not the car itself.....but to find friends all over the globe that share the same passion!
we all have the same car-problem

once again, it is good to be in the lambo family!!!! :)

Noooooooooooooooooooo! Come on guys, let's not let it get to this.
    Lost in communication?
Both you members are respected in you own ways.

No one likes it (& makes it uncomfortable) when there is a fight in the family.

My only 2cents as far as time: Expect it to take forever to get Lamborghini parts. If it comes in 2 weeks, celebrate.

    Scoraf,

I just now read your post - your opinion of Emilio could not be farther from the truth - you are 100% wrong if you think that you have been cheated by him.

On a side note, I have been purchasing Lamborghini parts for my cars over 25 years and in the majority of the cases, (IF the parts were available...) first shipment the parts arrived incorrect or there was a variation in price or a modification of the spare product - especially for the older models.

You seem to criticize people that have taken time to help you, my question is .... why didn't you order the parts directly yourself then?

    Alex

Scoraf it great to hear your installing the engine! I wasn't expecting that.

I hope in the future this gives you many laughs when your displaying your car as to how some cars can be a challenge to restore.

Once the car is driving and the feelings have settled, you will love the car even more, its good clean history!

My own experience ordering parts from dealers in Italy has been mixed. Lots of mistakes are make. I had ordered an exhaust system for my Merak SS many years ago and the payment they wanted was to be made a way they wanted. Payment was made but nobody cashed it. Several month later, I get a call asking to resend the payment plus the additional costs of collecting whatever they wanted for the part because they could no longer cash the money (their fault).
I replied that i followed their own instructions and i will resend no more that the original agreed quote.
Other time, the parts were wrong.
It seems to me that we have 2 good guys that have gotten caught by a 3rd party mistake. It is not cool for a pro shop to make mistakes on quoted prices and not own up to it while leaving the other party hanging. when I get a quote for A job, I make the decision from that quote for that A job not a B job or a B quote.
that is why I dont order anything from Italy unless i can be physically there.
