    Until a few days ago, "Fuk" was censored.

    Flashback
    The reason it was censored to begin with dates back to when the board switched from cgi-bin to v-bulletin, as quite an unhealthy number of posts, whether humorous or decidedly not so, had "fukc" - so, the solution of *** asterisks-of-civility then was done out of *necessity*.

    Flash-forward
    Prior to recent events in Japan, there have been a couple of Japanese names which contained "fuk" but which were semi-irritatingly censored to *** due to aforementioned *necessity*. With the Nuclear error in full swing, semi-irritating *** asterisks-of-civility became asterisks-of-annoyance.

    News-Flash
    Therefore, the civilized thing to do is:
    - unmask "fuk"
    - let it be known the asterisks-of-annoying-civility are gone
    - let Members know if they feel compelled to say ****, to just say ****.
