That's the latest rumor I picked up in newspapers in Europe.

It seems a foregone conclusion at this point that Massa is a goner by the end of the season. However I never heard that Rosberg is looking for that seat. It seems that all is not well with him at MB and that the team is happier with MS as a team player than Nico.

No idea whether any of this is true, but you heard it here first. :)

I'd love to see an Alonso/Rosberg team. Sounds like a great combo.

If true and Nico shows him up, does FA yell retreat again like at Mclaren. Ferrari will hire someone else who is less of a threat. Id prefer that than Mclaren style drama.

Fred is very comfortable at SF as opposed to what he felt (right or wrong) at mcl. SF needs a strong driver line-up to win the wcc so if nico comes on board good for him. Then the hulk can drive for MB next year...

The season hasn't started and the rumors fly.
Truth is that no one knows. Massa may have a great year (could happen) and Rosberg not.
    Far too early to speculate.

And you are a person of great perception ;)

There's a time for pointless speculation and wild predictions but the silly season shouldn't be rushed. Can't have X-mas in July you know.

Interesting idea. I doubt Fred would handle anything other than number 1 status, so this will limit Nico to number 2 driver status. That would be a shame as I believe he has more potential than that... Either way, unless Massa wins the championship this year (hard for a number 2 driver...), this looks like his last year at the Scud. Looking forward to seeing how this one pans out!

It would depend on what Rosberg is looking for, if he is not happy at Merc because he feels he has to play 2nd fiddle to MS, the last place he needs to head to is Ferrari.

If it's not the case then fine.

Since its you I'll play along ;)
Agreed. If Rosberg's sick of being second fiddle to Mike why would he want to be second chair to Zo?
Any recent word on Kubica? If he's back you have to throw him into the mix as well.

    Ahh thank you..:)

The trouble the way I see it is at Ferrari with Alonso is, no team mate driver can expect a fair crack of the whip.

Kubica, as he was would have been to much for Fred to handle, IMO.

Ferrari need someone fast good and reliable, without ideas above there station.

If MB performs this year Nico will go nowhere. Why give up a winning seat if they are neck and neck with Ferrari this year anyway? Possibly

Zo didn't play well with others at teams that didn't have a habit of favoritism. To expect him to do so at Ferrari is borderline delusional.

I think that would be a step down, or at best a side-step for Nico. I guess he's got a lot of competition, but regardless of the car at MB he's actually got a chance to win, whereas with Ferrari he's got a shot at 2nd place on a perfect day.

But hey if he can get a bigger paycheck or if he's tired of being Michael's little kid, why not?

Saw a recent picture of him being spoon fed. He looked like a ghost.

The article stated that it is anybody's guess whether he'll ever reach enough mobility, strength and sensitivity in the almost severed right hand.

    My opinion: Nannini II

A lot will depend on whether Webber leaves RB after this year. He will start musical chairs if he does. If Massa is kicked out who can they get who'll be fast be enough to score good points but not make Alonso cry. Rosberg isn't a guy on that short or non-existent list. JB and RB are the ultimate #2's.

Our friend Alonso won't allow it. Well, no point thinking too far. Massa did great during pre season tests. We'll see.

Thats true David. I for one think that Massa should be replaced if he performs like last year.

It's never been that Massa can't take the car to it's full performance, it's just that he hasn't showed that on a Sunday in a while. I really hope he is up to speed again this year

We all know that Massa is untouchable at certain tracks, well 2yr's ago he was, so imho I do not see a future for him at Ferrari after this season UNLESS he scores more points and wins than Alonso. I like Massa but he is not a 'Wolf in Sheeps clothing' and I think he knows that.
