    Get two cars with modern technology in the rebuild, like your car and my GT4 and the HP would be pretty much the same. Your boyfriend is claiming otherwise.

    Maybe you just can't read, but I think you're just blinded by his BS

    No, I'm ("ff") saying the car was delivered with incorrect jetting from the factory that barely suited the fuels of the day then (100 octane leaded), and that in the course of re-building the engine, the jetting (of a UK car) is actually better suited to the current spec/fuels and requires no further jetting, but COULD benefit from a little fine tuning, if you could be bothered spending the numerous hours and hours and lots of $$ chasing a few BHP (and even less lb/ft, robert).

    Funny you say that, I was talking to JM about that earlier tonight. My HSV had torque so I could go in hard, brake late and "DRIVE" out of the corner as O had over 700n-m of torque. I learnt very quickly that with the 308 you couldn't do that, you had to brake early to carry more corner speed as the car had no torque to pull you out of the corner.

    I am Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to Phillip Island in a few weeks which requires huge corner speeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed. :D Am really looking forward to turn 1 most of all. Hopefully it doesn't end in tears but I WILL BE GIVING IT MY BEST SHOT as that is a big time gain. :D

    You should, 36mm is also just about streetable, but 34's are nice. You do need to tweak the timing curve a little though.

    anyway, you read it all here...FF claims that a dry sump 308 would have 15-20hp more than my old GT4.

    This can be added to all his other claims, like F40 windscreens, oil leaks, CCBs etc etc etc.

    Let's face it, it's pretty hard to take him seriously when it comes to anything to do with Ferraris. No wonder I ran ran ran from this guy once I got what I paid for.
