Joe, Great photo!! I'm unable to read the hanging banner behind the car. What is this display representing, and where was this taken? Is this the fabricator of the Countach body panels? Do you (or anyone) have similar photos of the Countach with various exterior panels removed? Its very interesting to see these rare veiws. Thanks.
Yep! It was driven 9,000 km in Japan then suffered a small engine damage! The car came with that problem to the UK, was not driven there, stored for 9 years, sold to Belgium and stored there for about 14 years when I purchased it in 1997 still in its original paint etc.! Ciao! Walter
The Countach LP400 bodies were the first series made at Sant Agata and they just got better in terms of quality with subsequent series (LP400S etc). Poor fit & finish, wavy body panels etc are normal on an original LP400.
Had the Countach out today. Felt great to drive after a looooong winter. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I do not think we are out of the woods totally yet. Tomorrow the high in the mid to upper 60's the rest of the week high in the 30's low in the teens, TROPICAL. LOL
Hi It would be a pleasure to organise such an event! I run the Scottish Italian car and Bike Day at Hopetoun House Near Edinburgh on 14th August. I could easily plan an event around this! The best time to see scotland though is possibly April or may. Roads have less tourists and we dont have small insects called midgets. they are peculiar to Scotland are like a mosquito but with very bad attitude!! We have some very good roads and spectacular scenery especially up the west coast. If people were interested then would be more than happy to organise say a three day event If anyone is coming here to GOD's chosen country ( everyone else on the planet has the wrong idea! ) please let me know and happy to give such advice as possible Paul
Paul, I believe for next year, it is not too early to think about it... let's say in begining of May ?
