Confirmed: roof is with the car. I got an e-mail address for an employee who has access to the car. I am dealing with people who can't communicate very well in English (doesn't help that my English isn't perfect either). Attaching image of were the VIN should be. Is the area correct? If so, I can e-mail the picture, ask them to open the cover and look for it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The best place to find the VIN is on top of the steering column. See red circle in the pic below. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Those wheels and the tow eye indicate it was used as intended....good options. (tow eye was included in all street cars, I would think) Looks like your Ferrari just arrived....congrats!!!!
This is the picture I needed! Thanks!! Had no idea it was so easy to access! Guys, the car is actually 7.500 USD. You can hate me now.

Yes that is one of the locations. Make sure the vin on the steering column matches the vin in the engine bay, and the vin in the door jam. And yes your picture with the read arrow is where they will find the vin in the engine bay, after they open the engine cover.
See if these help. Plus you can go to this web site and download the owners manuals for the Euro 93 GTB/GTS with more details. http://www.ferraridatabase.com/The_Downloads/Downloads.htm Taz Terry Phillips Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Somebody get this gentleman an ice cold beer To the OP - for $7500, if the VINs check out, snatch that bad boy up in a New York minute, baby!!
Actually, checked the currency on xe.com, it's 8200 $, but a steal nevertheless! Yup. People are so slow over there... I'm planning a trip within couple weeks. Will of course keep you all updated.
Got more pictures today, finally, I was going to go mad waiting Is the VIN the number with the stars? And look at that dusty engine bay!! And rust??? Must have been left outside - damn heartless bastards Interior needs a new center console, as far as I can see! Most likely a paint job too! If that's not blasphemous on this forum... I would never repaint a F50 or something like that... I got some work ahead of me, but working on a car like that is a privilege and it's so cheap so I will take the job with a smile and be happy to get it back on the road But I figure that it would take me a year to get it in shape, with my income (I have a house purchase coming up too)... OK, what can you gurus tell by the new pictures? And what are those numbers telling, if you can get any info on that? Who do I call/contact regarding the VIN? "The revised cars are called 348 GTB (222 made) and GTS (218 made) and were presented to the public as the 348 GT versions, equipped with the F119H engine (as opposed to the original F119D and US F119G)"...well, there's "F119" that's referenced in your first post. A long weekend of cleaning inside and out, a goood wash and some Griot's 1, 2, and 3 level polishes and she'll be damn good for $8,200!
Ferrari VIN decoders all over the internet : google as well as repeatedly here You'll probably discover its a LHD Euro Ferrari 348 made in Italy !
It is really good and the engine number indicates it is fitted with Motronic 5.2 DMEs, while most 348s were fitted with 2.5 and 2.7 DMEs. Even early 355s were fitted with 2.7 DMEs, so these cars were something special. All the numbers work, so jump on her like a chicken on a bug. Taz Terry Phillips
