Since all the other air slats are painted satin black - I went ahead and did the same thing.

In the last photo of the Countach on the road, whats the deal with the rear wheel having the "road runner" get up and go affect?...pretty cool.

A wide-angle (fish-eye) lens was used for that image. It causes things on the periphery of the image to be stretched or become distorted.

    Joe:

You just need to add some smoke and fire and you'd have a Rat Fink image!! LOL! I thought of those old Rat Fink Images when I was a kid when I saw that photo! :)

Fantastic tire but now some ten plus years out of production. They were an excellent looking alternative to other super expensive correct tire options.

In North America your best option really is the Pirelli P-Zero. They are made in batches every few years and have a good look and excellent performance.

I know that from Europe there are some other nice looking tire options particularly a Michelin competition tire that is road legal. If I was fitting tires to a Countach I think I'd use the Michelins. Here is a link:

    Peter:

I just put a new set of Pirelli P-Zero Asimmetrico's on mine last December. It's about the only new tire (with current date codes) that you can get. Yokohama (which were on mine) no longer make the rear "345" size. I had a ton of tread left on my tires, but since the date codes were like 11 years old for the rears and 8 for the front, I replaced them all around.

I got a pretty good deal on mine from this place down in Georgia. I paid $177 ea for the fronts and $492 ea for the rears since it was their last set. I know they've increased their price since then:

I have never understood why those front bumper vents are the ONLY silver-tone thing on the Countach, outside of the wheels. Every other vent, slat, grille, or duct is black.

We began to see the bezels of the square Carello indicators go to black with late QVs, and then with some Annivesarios. Some cars have had them retro-fitted.

Countach & logic are not words that seem to apply in the same sentence..

However, on the exterior of the car, some Countachs had the rear badges in silver, and on most cars the door lock buttons are chrome-plated.

Also, in the interior of the car, the ash-tray bezels are chrome-plated, on some of the early cars the window cranks are chrome-plated, the dash gauge plate is bare (brushed) aluminum, the glove-box lock centers and the steering-column lock centers are chrome-plated, the center-console air-vent bezels are chrome-plated, the warning lights have bare aluminum bezels, the shift lever is bare aluminum.

    Etc, etc.

Noticed the Raid logo (am I reading correctly?) on the horn pad of this car. Is that wheel and pad correct for all the lowbody cars?
