Not bad for a 'drinks' company! Well done Vettel.
Looks weird to see Infiniti logos on the RB...maybe Honda (err Acura) & Toyota (err Lexus) should have tried that branding approach...and saved billions of yen and embarrassment.
Hammy in 2nd is pretty noteworthy, considering everybody was reading McLaren their last rites coming out of winter testing. That said, he was less than 2 secs behind Vettel going into the first pit stops, so you may be onto something here.
Great race and a dominant weekend by Vettel. He's going to have a great season. Good to see him end the previous season and start the new season on top. Also great to see Alonso once again staring at Petrov's gearbox.
Petrov has to be the happiest man on the planet. He was written off for over a year and becomes the first Russian to stand on a podium -- beating world champ Alonso in a Ferrari. The Vodka will pour tonight!
Ferrari's strategy of starting mediocre and behind the ball and then trying to reactively win the championship doesn't seem to be working.
It is a good drive by hammy but no one was catching seb today...I want to see how the cars do on a circuit with high speed curves before passing judgment on the pecking order...
Well done Lewis and Petrov. Hope the plank is ok. In case some of you missed it or didn't watch the BBC feed: 1. The only reason RB didn't use KERS after first practice (in any form) was because of unreliability. 2. Lewis said he was able to get past Webber despite a poor start because of KERS vs. no-KERS. 3. KERS was worth .3-.4s in Albert Park. It's great that some of you think you know better than some of the world's best engineers at Ferrari. crinoid, do you mind if we call you Scuderia P1?
Vettel is seriously the real deal and amazing. What a drive. Utter dominance, no mistakes. Very much like a younger Schu. Ferrari are already playing catch up to Mclaren and Red Bull now. Great drive by Petrov, and Rubens should definitely retire. Only complains and pull of stupid move like that and ends Nico's race
