Well I tried it and..... was a little disappointed when I took the car for a ride. When I got back, I had someone drive and I followed and what a difference!!! Car growls at low rpm's and screams at anything over 4000rpm's. Should I be waiting for the engine light to come on?

You should have no issues with engine lights. There isn't anything monitered by the computer after the rearmost 02 sensors in the rear cats.

    What a difference :)

Hey if the choice was spend $6K for a Tubi exhaust or go with this route - I like to keep green in my pocket. The car sounds great.

    Few words of caution.

#1. To reach into the driver side unit - you either better have very small hands. Very difficult to wrap your hand around all the assemblies.

#2. Don't - I repeat Don't - place any type of tools on top of the engine while performing this act. I accidently dropped a roll of electrical tape into the engine compartment. Landed on the diff and then eventually dropped into the under tray of the car. Took me 2 hours to snake that roll of tape out.

Other than that - the baby growls !

    One happy F-Chatter.

I just did the mod myself, and it sounds great, idling it in the garage. Can't wait to get it out and drive it!

Some of you have mentioned you hard wired a switch to turn the by-pass on and off.

Can you share the makeup of the system you put together. I would like to put the switch in the cockpit.

    Thanks in advance.

Hello Thread, we have a super new exhaust system that enables a change from sound 1 to sound 3. This sounds great!!! Due to sales of over 10,000 we have for the month of May only a `Jubilee Offer`. We are offering the exhaust system with valve at the same price of one without valve. The remote control will be sold free of charge. Any further questions please contact your dealer or myself at [email protected]. Regards ... Sharon Röttger

Do you know the sound level of a Challenge Stradale from 50 feet (15 m) with the remote system installed? If it helps my car get under 92 db, I'll get one!

Anybody put the Capristo wireless switch into an F430 Spider? I am interested to hear results and what it cost for parts and installation. Thanks!

Please post or PM me with any info...thanks!

Just did this last night on my '00 Modena

The only tricky part was the drivers side, it's a little tight. The electrical connectors have little metal "Horseshoe" pins that you need to slide off before dicsonnecting it. Since I have the challenge grill on the back, I just put my light down inside by the taillight (inside) and I could then look through the grill from the back and guide in a screwdriver to pop off the metal pin. Then it's easy to pull the connector off.

I'm suprised there aren't more comments on this easy inexpensive mod. I personally think it made the 360 come alive... sounds 100% better~!

Anyone has sound clip with stock exhaust sound with with un-plugging the connector (so valves can be opened at all time)?

    Hi Guys,
Thanks for the intruction to unplug the valve for the stock exhaust. I did it last night and have a test ride. It is must better than plugged before. But I think it still cannot compare with the F360 which installed with aftermarket exhaust e.g. Tubi / Capristo.

But when I unplug the switch and startup the engine, the screen shows that my engine cover is not covered well even I have done it. So I am not sure if this warning light will still on and also if this will affect the car ECU. Anyway, I've tried to turn off the battery for a while and restart the engine again. The warning light is gone.
So is it normal for unplugging the valve for exhaust? I guess it is not harmful.

I've been meaning to ask... what is THIS thing? Looks like an open vacuum contraption or something. Noticed it on my 360 too, but my vacuum lines have been capped so I don't believe it's part of the exhaust valve.
    Anybody?

So early in this thread, it said the Tubi does not use such valves. is this the case? because my factory installed Tubi sounds noticably louder at higher RPM. And I'd like to replicate it at lower rpm with no load.

Depends on the type of sound you want.

I had a Stage II Tubi on my 360 which sounded perfect. Not too loud (which is what a Cap level 3 is to most people) and had the right growl.

What type of exhaust do you have on your Ferrari, I wonder...

I have a NGT on my car. It sounds absolutely menacing at 7k+, but it also sounds like I am going 100mph during cold idles in the AM. Neighbors love me for it.
