    Hello all,

Visiting Modena in May 2011, and I would love the opportunity to tour the Ferrari factory. Unfortunately, I don't own a Ferrari (hopefully soon!), but as with any car buff, a chance to tour the factory would be a dream come true. I called Ferrari concierge; Monica was super nice and accommodating. She was able to reserve 2 spots, but did mention that it requires approval from a dealer. Talked to her contact at Ferrari of Houston, but did not get anywhere. I absolutely understand that they have to be selective with factory tours, but I thought I'd give it a shot; does anyone have any advice/connections they could share?

    TIA!

Speak with Joe Maniaci at Ferrari of Houston, they are the ones that can get you "in" the door.

Buy a Cavallino and a Hat in the Boutique, then you are a "customer"....LOL!

Be sure to tour Lamborghini and Ducati while in da 'hood.

They are not quite so 'formal' about the whole Tour thing, as I understand it.

Thanks for the tip BigTex! I just emailed him; crossing my fingers.

Lambo factory tour is already scheduled, but it's a bit of a consolation prize. Would love to see what's lurking behind those Ferrari factory gates!

I will be there this May also, going by my dealer tomorrow to get the scoop. I can't wait to check that place out.

You'll find lots of threads on this site as far as what to see, where to stay, etc. There are several auto repair shops within several blocks of the Ferrari factory that when you walk-in, it's like stepping back in time to the 1960's / 1970's...275GTB's, 250SWB, and other really cool cars being worked on and old Ferrari engines all over the place. All of the shop owners were very gracious and let me walk almost anywhere...

WOW! That is awesome. Would love to do something like that someday when my kiddos get a little older.

I was told when I went back in '08 that it's one owner + one guest per VIN. I even had to fax my title before getting the OK. There's still a lot to do in Maranello even if you can't tour the factory. We stayed at the Planet Hotel across from factory entrancefor around 150 euro/night. Ask for 5th floor penthouse room. Good luck & have a safe trip!

When I went in '05, it was 1 owner + 1 guest and I had to provide my VIN as well. I also stayed @ the Planet Hotel. We stayed in room 408 and our rate was €90/night.
