First sports car was a Porsche 964 convertible. Since than always had a sports car. Still love it and will probably have one for the next couple of years. Driving on the NS highway is no fun, just high speed on long straight roads. It's nice to have a limo with driver, especially with our tough drink driving laws. I am dreaming of getting a rolls. The sad part is for the moment it looks like only a dream.
Can always bring in one from UK. Makes financial sense, yes/no? Nothing is as stately as the Rolls but I love the old Cornich. Man, that is class on wheels.
Yeah, imports offer good value but i am concern about warranty. Karsono is a tough customer when it comes to imports. Don't want a 1 million dollar lemon. Phantom makes my heart beat a bit faster but not a practical car to drive. Ghost more practical but heart beat very stable when i look at it.
Yeah man, damn sad, the way some of my senior ground instructors always talk about their airforce days definitely makes you wonder what you're missing out on. And they're all former Indian airforce, except one who was a General with the Iraqi airforce, that guy would divert his classes like no one's business, but fun as hell listening to his experiences. Audi, G-Strings eh
Thanks & you're right about the NS, some minor curves but nothing much otherwise & I sleep little @ nights so that makes it worse. Don't u have a driver for wife or is it your bro? I almost bought the ML many years ago & even went to Rolex ctr to have a look @ it. Oh c'mon, the RR is within reach for you. My friend self-imported a Phantom & has been driving it on his own but of course he has other cars but he did say that he always parked it by the roadside Maybe you should buy the Phantom drophead? I saw one #3 plate along Upp Cross St last week. Very nice!
Yeah, one of my instructor was from Indian air force & my OC used to fly Hunters with the RAF! U've got some very interesting masters
Phantom has that traffic-stopping road presence which the Ghost doesn't. Partially due to that massive, upright grille.
Anyone wants classic Ferraris? Will be cool to have them as classic plates over here 1973 Daytona http://www.historics.co.uk/buying/online-catalogue/ferrari-daytona.aspx Oh wow. If you guys bothered to read, this can be a reminder. The above car was sold for GBP400,000 in the height of 1990 but market crashed after Gulf War & transacted @ a mere GBP69,990. 1961 250GTE http://www.historics.co.uk/buying/online-catalogue/ferrari-250gte.aspx
Where's all the old local chatters? Why are u boys holing up? I can smell u boys smirking back there In the old days, we shoot & post our beloved old cars everywhere we go but now that we've progressed to modern & often brand new cars but where's all the love? Worry about the taxman or getting recognised in the street? Seems a little back paddling if u ask me. Would love to see pictures of cars, beautiful ones as usual. Vanq, Winston, where are your works? Let me see if I can dig something from the hardisk.
Heard from my friend in HK, McLaren is showing their car in HK next Thursday and he is expecting delivery in Sept. Seems HK is a more important market for McLaren. Agent there is Sime Darby
i think there is a good chance since they are already showing the car in Hong Kong next Thursday. You will be back before the motor show right? Heard there is a tour on 20th. If it's showing there, i am going to have a look.
McLaren's optional exhaust is made of inconel and the geometry is program to provide a more aggressive tone. It's great that McLaren is providing this option. It's a first and i hope Ferrari and Lambo will follow.
