By any chance, anyone in Hong Kong know where I could find Motul motor oil? Any place that carries this brand.

LOL, reminds me of that other thread here from Singapore when someone was complaining abt a Fcar parking double space.
Glad to see some signs of life in this thread. Was worried all the bros had lost interest. Great weather today for a morning drive.
Hey people. Great morning a SMD this past Sunday. HK car scene is really incredible. I have a few quick pics here... http://www.flickr.com/photos/48817379@N03/ Will put up better ones later. Maybe we should actually try and say hello to each other next time!? Maybe a chat over some siumai and a Hong Kong tea? I briefly met DC348 and his awesome 348 Spider but I was a little out of sorts due the a rather late night before.
Great photos. Thanks I take it we can assume that the Tesla therefore, has enough "juice" to get up there and back then? BTW, a friend of mine here in HK has just dumped his Exige for a Rosso 360. Hopefully he will join us on FChat. PAUL
I saw the green Tesla in the afternoon charging in the Ocean Terminal carpark in TST...probably a 'just in case' thing... http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5055/5584103419_5a357075b4_b.jpg I wonder if people who don't know about it think anything about the fact that some sports car is parked in the 'for electric cars' area...
My pleasure as always. Actually, I have uploaded a bunch more. http://www.flickr.com/photos/48817379@N03/
Probably using Ocean Terminal CP 'cos the govt are putting chargers in public car parks and his building management have not worked out how to give him one at his home car parking spot yet!!!! I tried having that conversation with the BMO via our Owners Committee here, like "what if I bought an electric car, how could I get a charging point next to my parking bay?" "Dunno....never thought about it"!!!!! PAUL
Saw a handful of Ferraris while I was in HK in mid March. After being there for a while, I wonder... what's the point?! I love cars, but there's no place to park and even fewer places to open them up. I guess out in the new territories somewhere? Got a brief shot of an M16. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Our outlook on life is very different to NA perspectives. Yes, we have one of the highest concentration of exotics cars, yachts/boats, watches, fashion items, fine wine and antiques and art pieces in the world. For some of us, we just enjoy the ownership and usage of these finely engineered products as rewards. We work hard, play hard.....
+1. One question that I ask myself often is do I just deprive myself of this love for motor/fine engineering since I was a little kid JUST because it's difficult to fully utilize the power of the car on a frequent basis? Do I LET the environment get in the way of my hobby? You can probably guess my answer!
U have but one life to live. U can do it your way, or their way. Either way, its ur choice. Enjoy it while u can, too much tragedies in the world today. But, tomorrow is another day!!!
Well said. I shall have this printed on the wall of my company's building lobby. Couldn't have said it better myself. Life is short. Enjoy while you can. Don't think anyone drives a supercar in heaven.
As others have said, HK is where we live, so if we don't enjoy a nice car here, what else can we do? It's rather pointless to deny ourselves the enjoyment of a nice cars just because we don't happen to live near the Pacific Coast Highway or the Amalfi Coast. Kind of how the UK sells a surprising number of convertibles despite the generally wet weather! You enjoy it however and wherever you can... Besides the new territories, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy driving here. HK's got a heck of a lot more tunnels than we had in Houston, Texas where I grew up. With a V12, or a spider with the top down, my favorite (and admittedly slightly antisocial) activity is to go to redline in first, second and almost third before I slow down...and repeat. Depending on the tunnel, this doesn't even need to be in the late night. HK has also has lots of windy roads, where you can still really enjoy going through the gears and practicing heel-toe. True, there aren't a lot of places you can go wide open throttle in a straight line, but that's not as much fun as playing with the gears in a twisty road. Parking...well, you just figure out which places have good parking, and don't drive the Ferrari to the places that don't!
Maybe because its not offered and still no production yet. Only see people burning Mercs, BMW and SUV's ( I mean, those paper effigy/Chinese offerings) during Qing Ming...
Am sure they would handcraft any Ferrari model U have in mind..choice of colors, interiors , wheels, lucky number plate., even the new FF. May take a day or two longer to produce!
Here's another spotting of sorts. Dropped by the dealership, however it was late in the evening and I was carrying two pitchers of Pimms. gf was trying for the contrasting Ferraris with taxis in the background. BTW, I agree completely about having wonderful, finely crafted race machines. Where I come from, it's only a few minutes until I hit twisties in the hill country averaging 100mph. Texas is a big place. Not to say one is better than the other, it's just a culture shock in a condensed city. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Randy, are you still around in hk? PM me if you're up for a drink. Would be fun to catch up with another Texan.
