about time, opening day is just around the corner. LET'S GO CARDINALS! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I reckon "my" World Champion Giants are going to successfully defend the title! [Really pisses my kids off when I call 'em that........ ] Cheers, Ian
yep,them...and Braves could be ok too. ...but the poor Mets are mentioned more in the WSJ than the SportingNews, quel mess. cheers, RE
+1 Talking of a mess, what about the (suck!) Dodgers!?...... As a Giants fan, I obviously think their nightmare is *awesome*, but that's a real mess - Do you guys get any news on it "back East"? Cheers, Ian
Go Pirates! Not many or any "if's" here w/ the Bucco's, actually there's not much of anything here as well w/ the Bucco's!
Ian, Maybe irony looms large in the Mets and Dodgers present and future, since some judge is about to decide who gets what where and when...for both, hence the irony. So how does Roger O'Malley get of his box to fix this? Well I mean it is his fault, innit? (oh,he is?...never mind) Still, cheers RE
i am pumped and ready for tomorrow, it's the best day of the year - opening day. everyone's in first place for 1 day, except for the cubs. since i'm out of the cardinals market this year, i picked up mlb.tv, as well as the paid version of mlb at bat, and now i'm sitting here watching the red sox take on the astros in a final tune up game before the season starts. my predictions: cards will win the central with a 96-66 record, meet the phillies for the pennant, cards in 5 games, and then onto the yankees where the cards WILL win in 4 games, and during the off-season, bill dewitt will bite the bullet and give albert 8 years, 240 mil, with 2 option years at around 25-35m for each
Scott, I'm a redbird fan n'all but beat the phils?...with that rotation?( and some other stuff?)...not gunna. ...yup,long season, predictions blabla...but those five(5 !!) starters are legend... Braves have a chance at wildcard,azzall... Cheers, RE
oy vey... first they blow the game, then Holliday blows his appendix...out 4-6 weeks. http://stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20110401&content_id=17249938&vkey=news_stl&c_id=stl
The cards are in the W column...finally, Garcia with the 4 hit shutout, 9 k's, I think our starters may pan out, but I'm interested in seeing how Kyle McClellan works out in the 5th starter role. On a side note, being as this is my first ever cardinals season out of birdinal nation, I've come to love MLB.tv and MLB at bat app - best $135.00 I've ever spent,
really? how's the quality? I assume it's just a feed of whomever is covering the game? (FSMW, etc). I *almost* bought it the other day but couldn't bring myself to spend that much. I'm a cheap ass
the quality is actually pretty good - there is a little lag, but hardly noticeable. it's not quite tv quality, but it is pretty close. i sprung for the "premium" package - which gives you the home and visitor's broadcasts, whereas the basic just gives you the home teams, plus i have a dvr built in that allows me to rewind/etc. (if it allowed me to fast forward live games, i'd be living in vegas right now, ) my tv allows me to hook my computer up, so, i bought the cord for 20 bucks, and i've been hooking my computer up to it so that i get the full picture. plus, my surround sound allows me to plug an auxiliary cord in, so, i've got the games in surround sound also, which is sweet. it's been a LONG time since i've missed at least part of every cardinal game, and i wasn't about to let moving out of market stop me, i also bought the at bat app, which allows you to watch and listen to every game, well, if you have mlb.tv, you can watch them, but it'll still allow you to hear mike shannon screw up the game if all you wanna do is shell out 15 bucks,
I wanna hear Mike Shannon get hammered and give out his home phone number on KMOX again ah, the good ol' days....
well Scotty, you talked me into it...I just signed up for DirecTV "Extra Innings". so now I can watch the birdinals and listen to Hrabosky and Dan M's inane commentary. 1-3, not a great start. let's go Cards!
life is back to normal. albert knocked in the winning run, franklin got the save, and the cardinals won tonight.
I've gotta say, I'm pleasantly surprised with both berkman and theriot - now skip Schumacher? That's a whole different issue right there. Yeah, Albert's in a minor slump right now, but I can accept one slump in 11 years,
