We have gt2 restriction which is under gt3.
Factory BMW and Us are only E1XP2.
They are very nice and their cars are great.
    They asked for a jacket.

So that's P4/5C now authorised to run GT2 restrictions rather than the EXP restrictions?!

    Hopefully,
    Andrew.

    OOOHHH. STICKERS. :D

Everyone knows that stickers make you faster. ;)

Nice to see some more folks jumping on board with sponsorship. Makes her look more and more The Business.

She is always accompanied by an adoring crowd, Jim. If she isn't moving she's being admired. Always cool to see pics.

This thing is wicked cool- I've been following it since day one. Haven't had time to post much though. I do wonder if they'll let you run less restriction. I'm paying close attention to your machine and the lone Lexus LFA that will be running in SP8 class. It's pretty amazing it can finish in the top 20 when it weighs over 3000lbs.

I was there and watched the great race.
    Sunny and 25 degrees C.
Mika did a quite good job as he was not that experienced on the green hell.
He started 28th and got better lap by lap.
After one hour he was already on position 14 with good chances to move into top ten.
Then the P4/5 want into the pits for refuelling and slowed down the first lap after.
When I went into the pits and talked with Jim he told me that that long stop
for the fuel (traffic in the pits) caused water loss and overheating.
They will ad an electrical water pump for the next race in may.
    Regards
    Nicolai

Very good news and teething problems are expected. Sounds as if we will have a great result from the team, hope I did not jinx it though!

A shame about the problems with the car Napolis but it was the car's first race so some teething problems are to be expected. Greatly encouraged by the car's progress through the race, hopefully you get some good news from the race organisers about some bigger restrictors (I hate to sound cynical but if you were running a german car you might have more success in this regard). Best of luck in the upcoming races, the 24hr will be the ultimate test indeed.

The chances are not so bad.
One of the good things about the endurance race series (VLN)
is that the organization try to have a lot of cars competitive.
When one of OEM teams from Porsche, Audi, Mercedes and BMW
has no real chance for the victory they allow less weight, bigger fuel tank,
bigger restrcitor and similar stuff till there is a balance.
I´m sure than a real exotic sportscar like Jim´s P4/5 will get also
    an option to get closer.
By the way the best lap was 8.44 min which was ver fast...

    We had a Great Time!

It was really great to see so many of you and to experience the feelings of the crowd towards the car first hand.

We qualified 28 (went out on wrong tires, intermediates instead of rain, and by the time the track dried it was too late)

We moved up over 7 laps to 14th. We made up three positions in the turns but lost a LOT on the straights.

Our VMAX was 260KPH the MB and Porsches 285KPH. Unless we get less restriction it will be very hard for us.

The pits were a bit crowded and we overheated which caused mechanical engine failure.
Small oil fire ensued but no big deal.

We'll put in a radiator fan for pit stops and we'll be good to go for our next race.

We may run again in end of April as an additional race.

Many thanks to Pirelli who have developed Great TIRES for us!

Very pleased your outing was safe and educational. I am sure the issues will iron out very shortly.

You must have been running some serious oil temps to have a mechanical failure. Somewhere north of 320F I assume?

With such a positive reaction from the crowd I hope other car manufacturers and race leagues take note and make more exciting cars from now on. Thanks for showing us that race cars CAN be as cool as we dream them to be.
