Will pop up at RM Auction Vila d'Este, great scaglietti 500 TRC Spider with MM and Targa history sold by Gooding in 2008 Pepple Beach Auction at US 3,2 million wonder were it will be going for this time, it certainly is a piece of art and better than a van Gogh hanging at your wall.

A photographer friend of mine was sitting in this car the other day. The photo he posted looked like he was getting it ready to position in the studio for a shoot.

I saw this car a few times at the Ferrari Festival at Mont Tremblant, Quebec. Fantastic car. Tony Wong had it at the time and he drove the wheels off it. so much fun to watch. I sat down and watched one of the better documentaries I've seen in a long time, concerning the 1965 Targa Florio. It was called "Mountain Legend", a film made by Castrol. No sped up film reels, real sound and yeah, no CGI. In the film, 0670MDTR shows up wearing #184, but it has this strange "bustle back" thing happening at the rear of the bodywork. Anyone care to elaborate? I'm terribly curious. Thanks.

Additional enlarged gas tank. Custom made, not factory.

Most, if not all, 500 TRCs have MDTR suffix to the chassis numbers. Anyone know the significance of this?

Lampredi 4 cylinder 500 Mondials had the engine number MD suffix so possibly/logically the Lampredi 4 cylinder 500 and 625 TRCs (C = Appendix C Regulations) had the MD/TR suffix?

Is this the same car driven by Munaron in the 1957 Mille Miglia? License plate number is the same, although I don't know if the one on the aucion car is original.

#451 at the 1957 MM was a 500 TR (not TRC) with chassis number 0608 MDTR, driven by Munaron.
    Not the same car.

That plate is a reproduction with incorrect number. As is the entire two tone body paint red with yellow stripe. Nothing to do with 0670 MDTR.
0670 MDTR did not participate in the 1957 MM.
453 in the 1957 MM was 0690 MDTR and had BO 81821.

What a pity, giving a wrong decoration to such a jewel...
