    Hi guys/girls?

Anyone out there has an idea on what axle might fit a 355 that is about 2-4 inches shorter? I am to a point on my GTV 6 project where I need to push the sides in since the 355 transplant is too wide. Heard porsche/audi/vw might work but if anyone is certain, would appreciate the help.

    thanks

it's my understanding that transaxle uses the same 6 bolt flange as 930 axles ...the F40 has same (a 348 gt car used F40 axles actually)
....long story short, i would say yes, and you can get those made to any length you want through a competent shop ...someone like Dave helms could probably confirm if this is correct

Thanks. Yes it is 6 bolt on the gearbox side but its sealed in on the hub side. The spine that goes into the hub has to be I guess exactly the same to fit in and for the ABS to work since its got the ribbed teeth on it that reads the ABS sensor.

How will shorter axles help? Are you eliminating rear suspension?

Lower and upper control arms will be chopped and welded back. The shock towers will move inwards. Will post more pics from the build soon. There are couple of ways to move the rear end inwards. As I decide wich way I will go, will defenetly keep you guys posted.

If it's okay with you, I would't mind coming over one of these days to check out your build.
