Yup, the coil is right underneath the tray and when the spark jumps on to the plate it will get hot enough and you can fry eggs . :D

I've never seen one. Looks like it would be an easy part to have fabbed if you can borrow one.

This I bet is real unobtainium . I believe it is the coil/dizzy cover only used on the glass cars. I think it is made out of platinum LOL and I can understand why you can't find one. Did you try or considering going back to the factory and see if they have any solution.

That's the issue, it's a Euro 308 ONLY part, so give up on America and scour the continent.

If Carreaper can get his hands on one, Lady Valeria's tin metal shop can knock one out.

I have one. Off of my '79 single dizzy Euro. I really don't want to sell it. If you cannot find one, and one of the recognized super talents out there like 350HPMondial, MYROB1, or Mr. Unobtainium, thinks they can reproduce one for you off of mine, I would probably be willing to send it to them.

I have long suspected that European Water is more insideous and threatening to the ignition system than american water - but, if the price is right, i wouldn't mind having a water shield for my converted Dizzy. It is not concour mania, but rather, a desire not to get stuck in the rain up here on the soggy north coast of Kalifoania because a ton of water F*cked up my electrics.

I would think any shop, or even any high school metal shop can knock one of these out.
Do you have any community colleges there with an auto mechanic program and a metal shop program?

Make one out of cardboard, then shape from there, then have one made out of aluminum for you. This cannot be that hard to make.

Eduardo, I think this is a good idea either CF or FG material would be better that metal.
My QV originally doesn't have the plate but I was thinking about putting some kind of
    cover plate over my coils.
