Going to do a bare metal respray on my 246, but the painter says that he's tried 3 different strippers and nothing so far will eat through the primer. Any suggestions?

Aircraft paint remover, I think that is the brand name. If all else fails,

    Soda blasting.

Try putting a piece of plastic (garbage bag, etc) on the panel after the stripper has been laid down.
This traps the fumes between the metal and the plastic, and will usually increase the effectiveness of the stripper.

take it to a professional paint remover. Either Soda blast or blast it with something stronger like garnet (NOT sand).

I know the advice Jon Hansen gave works very well. Then it's very important
to wash very well all with Thinner (paint solvent).

Is stripping to bare metal really necessary with your project? Do you have 'metal work' to do?
