599 GTO with 599XX-wings

I've seen a picture of the Belgium F-club of a white 599 GTO with 599XX wings on the C-pilar.
I was wondering if its a option or done by the owner it self.

I thought I remembered hearing that this would be an option on the GTO, but I have not seen one equipped with them.

 

That was the rumour. But it was never offered on the GTO. I guess someone would need to buy an XX!

 

I know that there is a white one with these wings but I've no picture of it.
It's a Belgium car.

aka dog ear wings.

im sure they are highly functional, but they are ugly as sin

 

i always thought the dog ears would complete the GTO in the looks department.

I think the fins behind the wheels should have made it to the production car, I think they look great on the XX

A Carbon-air-intake-plemium would've made a better option than the "dog-ears".

 

Was this an 'after market' addition or was this done by the factory?.....anybody know?

 

Personally I think the GTO looks much better without them. I prefer the "clean" look.

 

if they are after market I'll do a joint purchase with you

 

I think they make the car look like Pongo

Jokes aside, regardless the fact that these wings might be an advantage aerodynamically, but IMHO there is nothing like a clean side line on a car
