Using UK option price list, if one spec the car with all the carbon fibre options, that would cost an additional $83K. Very Ex. I also saw a nice pc of yellow leather sample. McLaren Yellow with two tone black and yellow leather. Hot !!

Bought my Arai car helmet from Chiap Lee couple years ago:

Alternatively, Stand21 has some nice helmets including a complete CF one. Garage R is the local agent.

    Hello,

I changed the air intake on my golf r. Bought Evoms air intake from USA and installed it myself at home 2 days ago! It was fun DIY-ing my own car. Attached some photos here.

First photo shows the engine bay with stock intake where the intake pipe is built in with the engine cover.

Second shows the new larger intake pipe (3" in diameter) with exposed cone. Liked the way Evolution Motorsports made use of the empty space at the battery area in the engine bay.

    Third picture's my car exterior!

After installation, the intake sound is more pronounced and very loud! Car breathes better for sure. Turbo lag is much reduced as it spools up much faster.

Carrera GT, Porsche 959? But what if its a 10 year old car? Cheaper than a Evo 10.... or BMW 5 series for that matter... maybe need to incorporate a dollar value as well as model brand and designation if the club wants to be truly exotic...

A 10 year old Porsche at 150k aint really that exotic even if it is a 911... and i know... a porsche aint exotic even then cos its so common. But hey a Lambo is more common than Peugots even, so not sure they are really that exclusive. Or maybe should include Peugots in the list.

Wow, thanks for the pics & write up but bro when u said "add an intake" I thought you mean additional somewhere in the system!

What you did is change the intake lah :) Yes, engines love fresh cold air to feed. I just did what u did to my Odysseus as well but had FongKim fitted it :p

Yeah.... hmmmm not exactly exotica.... Civic Type R... same price....

As for buying a Lambo to join the club. Nah I'm not an exotic car kinda guy.... ;(

Can you believe got the loan approved and the insurance sorted on the G Spyder, and then decided I just couldn't let the RS go for the G.... just not purposeful enough for me...

Maybe it should be define mathematically?! Then it will be very objective. Etc: must be less than 100 registered in SG for that particular model?!?!

    Douglas,

I dont know the engine bay layout of your car. But from what little I can see, you may want to check the location of the new intake and where it is getting the air from. Unfortunately, unless there is direct cold air hitting that air filter of yourse, the design is not optimal- dont buy into the hype. Your original air intake appears to be taking air in from up front of the engine bay and outside of the engine bay. Your new filter is definitely nice and big, but appears to be sucking air in from the hot engine bay... one of the worst things for performance.... thats why turbo cars use intercoolers and bigger intercoolers are always a genuine performance enhancement and desireable... they cool down intake air and compress it for further oxygen molecules for burning... unless you have nice cold air getting to that air intake, you are reducing power of your car.

You will need to isolate the air intake from the rest of the engine bay- create a partition and use a heat shielding material. Then get piping from the grill and somehow direct the piping to the area where the air cone is.

Mine's a full face. But general recommendation is for half face if you are not in an open cockpit car. But to each his own I guess.

I think that the GTR and the LFA should be allowed. But it is not my decision to make. Submit and let the committee decide.
