Since ECC is not true to it's name:D, the GTR with it's stunning performance should be accepted. Unfortunately, i don't think the committee will agree with me.

Thanks, I think gunmetal rims suit white cars best. It's VMR V710.

Correct, although the original factory duct is in place, the intake currently is sucking in hot air more than usual. Oil temperature has risen compared to stock. That's why I'm thinking where to create a custom heat shield to cover up the exisiting intake... But one thing for sure is I've learnt quite a bit on intakes/ecu/engine stuff when modding. There's more to learn for sure!

Very nice! Believe this is one of the elite paint range. McLaren orange (or rather papaya orange) looks good too

Check out with Garage R as a possibility. They do use cone intakes for their Evo 9 set ups but have a heat shield and tubing set up as described.

Modding is a slippery path. I swore I would not mod my GTR after the Evo 9.... the GTR is now at 650bhp Cobb stage 2, Arquay exhaust, Mines y pipe, sunline racing down pipe, full suspension set up (upper arms, lower links, adjustable anti roll bars), race alignment, AP Racing J hooks, MB tranny cooler, MB diff cooler, MB engine cooler with additional aux pumps, 1000cc injectors, Endless 600 deg pads, upgraded fuel pump, and a few more things.... but heck its fun. The poor GT3 feels positively ancient and incredibly slow and sits neglected. The GTR has become my daily driver... it even gets more use than the X5!!!

    Next step... 800hp....

Thanks will try to make a trip sometime this coming wk.

Man, your GTR's a monster! How's the Arquay exhaust? You should listen to the this setup: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dt01w68GevY[/ame]

From what you sound, the GT3 must have been neglected! Let me warm up for you :D

All these talk about exotic classification is very subjective. I suggest everyone should just get out and drive their cars! Heck, it's the individual driving experience that counts!

hahaha.... yeah... unfortunately its always gonna be hard to please one and all. Can't blame the intention nor the way in which the club is run. But that's why I tend to prefer to keep to just having car gatherings with friends rather than joining any particular club unless its for track day access :D

Car is much quieter mate, I can't stand drone on the N-S. Have been through a few configurations this last few weeks thanks to Keith at MB, and have settled on the current set up as it doesn't have excessive drone. Unfortunately its also a bit restrictive compared to some of the louder exhausts... as for the power, I admit that I am still in awe at the power of this thing. Have never experienced anything quite like it. Lung, how does the acceleration of the 458 feel compared to your GTR previously? I can't remember the 458 at Sepang but I remember it was incredibly strong pulling but not sure if it was quite as brutal as the GTR especially with Cobb.

As for the GT3... hahaha thanks for the offer.... :)
