    Congratulations!

I bought my 360 Spider 6 mos ago (been driving GT3 for last 6 yrs, but now traded that in for a C4S as a DD; still can't completely wean myself off of a Porsche), and been having a blast with it ever since, especially now the rain is finally gone!

But I know how you are feeling about the 430. Before I bought 360, I was debating between 430 and 360; I went w/ 360 Spider purely for the look of it, but I am constantly tempted by the performance and the technology of the 430.

But then, every time I uncover my Spider and drive it, I am more than satisfied w/ what I have! I guess I'll try not to make a mistake of test driving a 430 spider! :)

I know exactly how you feel. Bought my 360 spider in March of '10 and met my 430 spider at FOW in November. Haggled for a few months, but I better dealed my first lady in well under a year. if I could have afforded both payments, I'd love to have kept my 360. Acutally, if I could have two, I'd have a 360 coupe with a 430 spider. The 360 coupe just gorgeous. But yeah, I understand where you're coming from. If given that you can only own one, if you can trade up without crying over it, go for it.

I know what you mean. Drove a couple of 430's and performance is so much more. BUT I love the looks of the 360M more. The lines are cleaner and with 19" rims and the CS kit, it's the most gorgeous of the last two decades IMHO

    I have both a 996TT and a 360 Spider so I completely understand. Keep the 360. It's a better looking car IMO.

Try to drive a CS...or get a Scud if possible and then decide...I mean, if you are already wanting something more than your 360 in only a few days...

And how. I think there's a 16M in the middle there with my name on it though. Maybe in a couple years.

WOW, I thought I was the only one thinking the that way. I bought an 360 F1 Spider in Nov 09 and just love it however every since the purchase my knees wobble when I look at a F430.
I think I need therapy. I will eventually move to the 430 the problem will it be a hard top or spider. I am leaning towards the hard top.

    Congratulations,
    Nick

I have an '03 Black 360 Modena F1 that I love, but she has CS wheels, challenge rear grill and a tubi! AND when I park next to a 430 I actually think the 360 looks better!

Yes, I know the F430 is the next logical step, but for me, I will wait until I can pull the upgrade trigger on a 458 Italia!

upgrade if you want it. test drive one and decide.

430 has more power, better reliability.

For me, the 360 is gorgeous, while the 430 is just OK.

When I was looking to buy, I wanted a 360 and bought a 360. Never considered a 430 despite the fact that all my friends told me it was faster, better, less maintenance, etc., etc.

Now that I have had the 360 for 6 months, I am glad I did what I did. I seldom use the potential of the 360, so having the extra power of the 430 would be useless. Meanwhile, I look at the car all the time - and the 360 is the better looking car, both exterior and interior.

I completely agree, the 360 is more beautiful. It really is.

    +1

I can't use all the power the 360 has. the car has been very reliable...all the repairs have been done at normal annual service. This year it's time for belt change and new clutch. Can't complain at all. Heads and shoulders above my 355.

The car is still a head turner. Never fails to get attention.

And my car with Tubi sounds much better than a 430 (easy to compare at the track).

So I see no reason to spend the money on a 430. Might be tempted to get a Cali (faster than a 430 and better looking IMVHO) being a convertible which is a must for me. But I have never driven one so I might not like it. Not impressed with the faux backseat either.

In the meantime I will just "suffer" with my old 360.
