Doh! Figures I'm in LA that weekend.

 

I'm not an owner YET, but I would love to learn about the different technologies used by my future Ferrari and the various "diagnostic" stuff that you rarely get to see as a non-owner. Thanks to Algar for allowing us "non-owners" to attend this wonderful event. Grazie mille! Ciao.

Tony, stopped by today to say hello, and show the gang the cover of my book( Algar is in it). I was amazed at how good the place looked, the designs I was shown when you started this do not do it justice. Now you look as good as you are, all the best.

 

I saw you showing Francis the cover of the book, but I was with someone else when you took the tour.

Sounds like a great time. Unfortunately I will be out of town on our family trip to Atlantis.

 

I'm going to try and make this event. Probably I won't make it to C&C, so I'll just shoot right up to Algar.

I want to thank the staff at Algar for a terrific and informative day. Lots of gorgeous cars, and fascinating to see the shop itself - especially that way cool alignment machine! Plus, goodies from my favorite bakery.

 

Wow, what an amzing time! Thanks again to the Algar staff.

BTW, a few of us were looking at the 458 Challenge and someone asked what the tire size on the sidewall meant (I think it was 260 on the fronts and 290 on the rears) for example 225/260- 18, and no one knew what the 260 or 290 indicates. I looked at Pirelli's website, and it looks like the 260 is the external diameter of that specific tire. I'm guessing that's how some race tires are sized?

Thanks to the entire Algar crew for a great day. Mike (the service manager) and the rest of the service department run a first class shop, it's neat as a pin. Tony (the shop foreman) told us all about the new, state-of-the-art alignment machine and happily answered a lot of questions. The other mechanics were also there talking and answering questions. The 458 Challenge on display was super sharp and sounded awesome.

 

I also have to chime in and give my thanks to the staff at Algar.
The new workshop is impressive, almost sterile like a hospital operating room.
I know my 575 will be in good hands when I take it in for service.
It was nice seeing the usual suspects too that are memebers on here too.
