Thats a really short position considering that the auction is already at $66k. Im thinking that your thinking is already proven unrealistically low
an old coupe with that many miles, it would be very rough to sell. I suspect it will not sell. It cannot be worth more than $60k at retail, IMHO>
I agree. Not this particular one, since it's already at $66k, but I can see a very similar 360 going for $50's. It's a buyer's market, and it needs belts and probably a Major. The mileage is also high in regards to exotic purchases. Edit - I see a lot of people thinks he's crazy. Here's the thing. These cars ARE out there, at auctions, etc. If you have a reputable shop to to shop around for you, the deals are out there. I've personally passed up two 360 Modena 6 speeds in the $50k's, because they weren't optioned as I want mine. It should be noted these were 1999/2000 model years, not a 2002 like this particular auction. I don't see this particular 360 going for less than $75k simply because she's hot. Just saying.
just ball parking what I think it would go for based on what I found when I was looking. Anything in the 65-70k range is possible. I'd surprised if it went for 75k but if the PPI and records are really good you never know.
Thinking about trading/offering my 2005 PORSCHE TURBO S straight up in trade. The P car is rarer by far (only 250 exist in north america) newer-faster and less miles 14k but I really want a 360.
I really really really doubt they would straight up trade with you. They would have to give you more than full retail for your Porsche in order to make a straight up trade. They will probably want your car plus 15k or so in order to trade.
Yellow 2003 360 Spider for $65k with under 10k miles just popped up on cars.com. Looks like a legitimate bargain. Devil must be in the details somewhere, but I don't see it. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tracktype=usedcc&csDlId=&csDgId=&listingId=63941200&listingRecNum=15&criteria=sf1Dir%3DDESC%26mkId%3D20014%26stkTyp%3DU%26mdId%3D36544%26rd%3D100000%26crSrtFlds%3DstkTypId-feedSegId-mkId-mdId%26zc%3D20176%26rn%3D0%26PMmt%3D1-1-0%26stkTypId%3D28881%26sf2Dir%3DASC%26sf1Nm%3Dprice%26sf2Nm%3Dmiles%26rpp%3D50%26feedSegId%3D28705&aff=national
private seller to private seller deal. Wholesale on the TURBO S with lo miles is 64-65k(Manheim) which is pretty much the same as the 360
