Too bad it wasn't a redbull - would have been a perfect advertisement for them - Red bull gives you wings?

Question 1. What is a kerb like that doing near a runoff area ?

Question 2. Hows his back ? It was one hell of a landing on his bum.

I'm pretty sure Australia is what I'm thinking of:

"On lap 44 Timo Glock ran wide onto the grass and the bottom of his car hit two substantial bumps, the second of which caused it to briefly fly up in the air and land with force sufficient to break the suspension, leaving the monocoque in contact with the ground and unable to be stopped, resulting in a sizable accident. Glock spun twice and came to rest against the wall further down the track. He was forced to retire and the safety car came out for a third time. "

    EDIT: Found a vid!

Forgot about that one. Glocks Hockenheim effort was bigger IIRC, but can't seem to find any good videos :(

    Hmm.

Turns out I was completely wrong and WAS thinking about the Melbourne incident which you posted.

Hockenheim he just hit the wall pretty damn hard, no flying stuff.

But it was a hell of a wreck nonetheless. I had the 2 confused in my mind as well. I had almost forgotten about Melbourne that year. Pretty bonkers...my whole family screamed when we saw the onboard from Petrov's car yesterday.

Doesn't seem like anyone has a hi-res shot of Petrov's jump. I haven't seen one either.
