Hey guys, not sure how many of you have tried rFactor but it's a great simulator albit dated visuals. A few months ago a modder had released a 458 and ever since then I vowed to come up with my own sound effects, in my opinion no current game has accurate engine sounds for the 458. The 458 has a very distinct and unique engine note when shifting gears which after many months tweaking I someone fluked it and got it right! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFnRoKPZOn0[/ame] sorry no idea how to embed youtube here I made a quick video to document my progress so far, I've yet to implement the down shift SFX and low revs. I also need to get a better startup. But I am so thrilled so far I just love that sound! If you have any comments of feedback let me know, still a lot of tweaking to do and I don't have much spare time this is just a hobby.
Somehow I missed this thread when you 1st posted it. How has it progressed? That's what I always liked about PC gaming, the game community that puts effort to make the game better
ha... I sill remember all the sfx + voice mods people did to CS, and even further back... Quake I LOL Great work btw... you captured it quite nicely!
I remember the CS voice mods too haha. Here's an F40, not my work just my slow driving, very well modelled and a handful to keep in a straight line. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-1jVU3kfi8[/ame]
