I think it's just a misleading shadow/reflection. If I can borrow (and flip) one of your photos: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks, so it was clearly an optical illusion. Also, per an earlier poster, this car has standard Michelin XWXs and simply happened to be imaged on a snowy day. As you can see, there are simply no snow-studs visible. All talk of Miuras and Countachs with "snow-tires" is pure MYTH or journalistic imagination. Its a standard LP400.

OH. MY. GOD. The Cannonball Countach... The Dumb And Dumber Diablo... Christine '58 Plymouth Fury... The General Lee... and Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder? In one place? I love this country.
That's correct. For what its worth the wing is a unit that would originally have been mounted on an S3 car as S2 cars still used 'moody' wings without end-plates. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Countach experts and historians ; would you please share your knowledge regarding pics, info or whereabouts for the White Countach owned and modified by W. Wolf ,(the one with it's wing in the roof) any kind of response with info will be truly appreciated Thanks in advance
I visited the Peterson in 2003, did not see Supercars... just the Elvis Pantera lol Any details on the 85 Countach or the 959??
One of my pictures, was that you Ken up the ladder then?? What a car, I came all the way from the U.K. to check it out and Jeff very kindly gave me a ride in it, an experience ill never forget. Thanks Jeff!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
i took Advantage of the ladder... but i wasn't about to climb up that rickety thing. besides, i'm afraid of heights.
Returned from a 1,600km trip in the Countach today. Tons of rain followed by lots of sunshine....and no speeding tickets My little boy went straight for the drivers seat when I got home.... +1 !!! In French we could say : "chapeau Bas !" On my own, I wondered about Countachs strength... Are all the series that strong ?
Looks like a great drive and a great car, Brian. One question the last pics I saw of the car showed it having the US rear bumper and the front grills were missing. Did you address that or did the prior owner do that? Enjoy!
Brian, Congrats again... i loved checking out your ride while at Evans. It is a Great example of a great car. Knew you would like it. (can't believe you didn't get a ticket)
It was nice to finally meet George and others in person and tour the shop. The number of cars that roll through his place is quite impressive....I could have stayed all day. Had I been out there a little sooner we could have met.....next time maybe. The car ran great the entire way...used about 60 gallons. Brian
Took few shots today before it goes wingless... Very impressed with the power of the DD....much faster than the LP400S. 3rd gear is awesome!
