Love this story! I'll be strapping my boys into the back of our Mondial Cabriolet and go on adventures and races all over. I cannot wait until they are a little older! :)

maybe if he hits a million miles.........

I remember a story in the late 90's about a man who had racked up 1 million miles on his Toyota Corolla, no rebuilds......just regular maintenance. When Toyota heard about it they gave him a brand new Lexus LS400 in exchange for his Corolla.....

There was a guy out there with 500K miles on his 928 back in the early 90's................IIRC Porsche bought his car for their museum.

With frequent rebuilds it should last that long. Heck, I paln on driving my 91 Testarossa that much (as long as fossil fuels hold out). Still, that photo makes me want a wet black 930 with 917 type wheels. Yum.

    Love it,

I just bought a 2002 Turbo Porsche at Mecum auction. I love the car. Even at its age it is taut and exciting to drive. Mine is only 415 hp I can only imagine 550 wow :)

A 1966 Volvo 1800S owned by Irv Gordon...

Made it to 2.7 MILLION miles last summer. He bought the car new.

From memory, he's on his second engine and third transmission.

He's trying to make it to 3 MILLION miles by the time he's 73, I think.

    Miles, not klicks.
