Thanks, so it was clearly an optical illusion.

Also, per an earlier poster, this car has standard Michelin XWXs and simply happened to be imaged on a snowy day. As you can see, there are simply no snow-studs visible. All talk of Miuras and Countachs with "snow-tires" is pure MYTH or journalistic imagination. Its a standard LP400.

That's correct. For what its worth the wing is a unit that would originally have been mounted on an S3 car as S2 cars still used 'moody' wings without end-plates.

    +1 !!!

In French we could say : "chapeau Bas !"

On my own, I wondered about Countachs strength...

Are all the series that strong ?

Looks like a great drive and a great car, Brian.

One question… the last pics I saw of the car showed it having the US rear bumper and the front “grills” were missing. Did you address that or did the prior owner do that?

    Enjoy!

It was nice to finally meet George and others in person and tour the shop. The number of cars that roll through his place is quite impressive....I could have stayed all day.
Had I been out there a little sooner we could have met.....next time maybe.
The car ran great the entire way...used about 60 gallons.
