    Hi,

I am in the process of purchasing a 2005 F430 Spider. One of the images is a computer reading on the car. The only portion of this image I understand is the "clutch wear" ... can someone explain to me what else I should be interpreting from this image? Are these readings good? bad? indifferent?

    Thanks!

amazingly, I have seen BRAND new installed, factory units, read 20% wear, "out of the wrapper!"
street cars AND Challenge cars...kinda weird, huh?

What does "central engagement count" measure?

it's neutral not central and that's how many times the F1 has been shifted into neutral. you can even get a count for all the gears if you wished.

exactly, scroll down through the pages and there is all sorts of information which i only use if trying to diagnose a problem. The wear degree is an estimation by the TCU of clutch usage based on driving, use and multiple other inputs. 20% wear on a 430 with no shfting or gear box issues would cause me no cause for alarm. If everything else is good on the car, go for it and enjoy. If its around the LA area and you would like me to do a "drive by" inspection, i would be happy to help.
