You'll go blind......my Mum used to tell me. Ok, heres a question for you, how long before the Ferrari novelty wears off. I've had mine about 10 days now, I cant stop sneaking out to the garage to look at it, find weak excuses to drive it, start it up and polish it, sometimes I just go out side and sit in it.......is this normal for a grown man?
The length of the novelty is inversely proportional to how often you drive it. Save it for special drives (i.e. don't use it to go to work, get the groceries, etc.) and it may be years before you can wipe the smile off your face, lol. Yes, perfectly normal behavior for a grown man!
It depends on the individual. It may wear off in a few months, a few years, or never....I plan on "never"
If it wears off with one car, I find that getting another one tends to renew the interest. It is hard to keep up with the garage space though.
Keep on playing and I can assure you that you won't go blind. The novelty may never wear off and if it does there is always another F car to buy. As mentioned, perfectly normal behavior. Congrats on the new acquisition.
It doesn't stop. I've had mine almost three years and I still sneak out to the garage....smile when I get home and the garage pops up and I see her beautiful rear-end staring at me right in the eye.... I heart my 355!
I often wondered if it would be cool to have a 458 (Bianco Fuji with red leather please!) as a daily driver. I don't think I'll ever accumulate that kind of wealth, but if I did...two years WITH a Ferrari under warranty???? YES PLEASE!
How long before the novelty wears off? In my case, at least a decade (and counting). Nor do I use it only for special occasions, although it is far from a daily driver; heck my daily driver isn't even driven daily (I'm retired).
2 years for me and I still catch myself standing there with a smile on my face just staring at her. Even while she was up on jack stands during my brake project, I would sit in her and just smell the leather. I hope this never goes away. Congrats on your car. Enjoy!
Perfectly normal, that means you are a proud owner of a Ferrari .... it is a privilege that not too many people have the luck to experience !
Totally normal behavior, if you're a TRUE Ferrari guy like me, the "novelty" never wears off. But for me, the uncontrollable urge to be in the garage and/or touching the car in some way, took like 8-9 months to wear off. I was almost 41 when I got mine.
