he is a bit full of himself, but I have yet to see a poor build from his shop (in fact, the best choptop widebody builds I've seen have been built there). Anyone check any of madcurls cars over at fiero.nl? check the last few posts at http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum3/HTML/000053-63.html
There's a guy named shaun who keeps spreding the word about his work and boy he's right! despite he's a troll you can't argue about the fact he charges extreme amounts of money for a crappy product.
would be interesting to hear what's so crappy about his product. care to share the insight? (this is a bit off topic, but so what)

Then why would it be logical to spend roughly 10k on a V8 conversion that only run's 13's? His Twin Turbo LT1 Fiero only run's 12's! for an LT1 thats extremely pathetic considering if you twin turboed an LT1 Camaro, T/A or vette you'd have an exotic car killer on your hands very easliy further more he's never taken his LS7 Fiero beyond 100mph. Hmmmm I wonder why?
who's talking logic? I'm not. If you're spending 10k, that engine should be an LS2 at least I don't care much for dragracing, those numbers mean nothing to me? but the fiero transmission was made for a 140hp V6 so it might not be geared to take advantage of the V8 (in addition to not really being strong enough to take any abuse)? I can think of several reasons why you wouldn't take a car beyond 100mph (such as front end lift). For the V8 conversions, the only thing he could get wrong to lose power should be the exhaust and intake. Haven't seen good pictures of either, as far as I can recall, so I don't know how bad it is. But I thought we were talking about the choptops?
In Australia, $49K would buy you an average 308 GT4. Lol, yeah. $50K in Australia wouldnt buy you a 308 though. You will never see a 328 or 348 near that price. If you dont know, we pay TOP dollar for most cars in Australia. Especially any import cars. Here are some Aussie Ferraris for sale. http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/results.aspx?N=834+1216+1246+1247+1252+1282+4294966380&keywords=
Didn't he build the Miura replica? Looks pretty good to me. Shiny Side Up! Bill Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've seen Archies work and it is FIRST CLASS. A friend of mine has a fiero rebodied 328 kit with a Archie conversion - f40 gm six speed LS2 with all the works to include corvette brakes upgraded suspension correct seats, targa roof ..... Yes he's spent more than enough to purchase at least 1 original (maybe two!) and I can insure you the performance is superior. Are there junk kits - more than can be counted - but it was a "kit" the Miami vice daytona that was the first "Ferrari" many of us ever saw and I believe had a lot to do with the dreams many of us had or have to own the real deal. The "Muira" built by Archie is a work of art IMO and if you want to see the build --- Pennocks fiero forum has the full build under the construction section - and for those who love the cobras / jags and other NON ferrari kits check out the MERA's in Paradise in the General section -- if your going to hate this is the place to look!!!!
Whoa!! That's a rebody?!?! :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Can't really call these crappy replicas, as they're neither complete, nor crappy (formed aluminum!!). Quite a good effort in these........A for effort. The end grade is up to whomever finishes them. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/g-PTO-recreations-/150595295999?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item23102ddaff Interesting choice to use the '86 chassis for the GTO, and the later, longer roofline of the LMs. This ain't no Z in drag, folks.
The roofline of the GTO series 2 replica is all wrong at the back ... which simply proves that no matter how good the attempt it is very, very difficult to get it right. Close is simply not good enough IMO ... and why such a fundamental and very obvious mistake? Even this Bentley EXP Speed 8 replica http://bit.ly/hW63ef appears not to be right with the shape at the rear of the cockpit and apparently they scanned a kitset model of the car. Pete
For all the effort, I would have started with a 330 GTC frame and motor and a Mondial T frame and motor. Then, they would at least be Ferrari powered. Edwardo :-/
Replica haters need not apply!!!!! Not affiliated with this ad. My point is that this guy has done this in a home garage workshop and they really look pretty neat. Not sure how to paste a picture from the web so here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/g-PTO-recreations-/150595295999?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item23102ddaff I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the WORK (not the fact that the design is not original) Thanks Charlie
No doubt the guy has skilz... If he were local and I was looking for a project, that one might get my interest. Very interesting. The p/4 looks like it has the makings of something awesome.
