Hello Charles! Once you know if you can participate in the Spring Drive add your name to the list. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. You don't need to subscribe to FerrariChat, but if you do you get to have a little photo next to your name. I prefer something dignified, but you can use anything you like. :)

Don, working my way up to "core guy"

Don, be carful what you wish for. Before you know your "core" then the politics of it kick in, then you have enemies, then war breaks out, boarders are drawn.... ect.

Hmmmm, Steve jumps ship with his 355 and charles jumps back in the ship with his 355 simultaneously, we have a natural balance in the ferrari c&c universe. Although
Joe Z, you have.... to a degree thrown the earths axis out of whack with the boxster.
Try not to drive it too much.

Don, church is nothing compared to this crowd.

I'm extreemly honored in possibly keeping the F355 "Yin and Yang" in perfect harmony within the C&C Ferrari universe. I'm hoping for great weather, but I'm not sure I can do the entire day due to scheduling constrants. How long usually is a typical ride?

Don't know yet. Saturday I'll pre-check - hopefully all the way to the end this time. :)

Almost finished. Changing another section and need to pre-check and note mileage.

I have a rest stop in about the middle of the drive and have a new restaurant in mind for the after drive dinner. It is in Port Deposit which makes it closer to the route in Lancaster Co. It is on the river and has a large parking lot. They do not have a group scheduled for the afternoon of our drive so I made a tentative reservation. Several Car and Bike clubs use the facility, so they are happy to accommodate our group. See their website at: http://www.suskyrivergrille.com/ . I had dinner there yesterday and it was very good.

We can use the Chesapeake Inn for a "South of the Canal Drive" later in the year.

Another pre-check today and the route is finalized. It is 121 miles and about 4 hours long and the rest stop is almost in the exact middle. I made many changes to the two previous Drives and I hope everyone will enjoy the roads I've chosen. I’d like to make a final check, so if anyone is available any day next week PM me and we’ll make sure all of the instructions are understandable by someone that didn’t write them. ;)

Don, shame I didn't see this last night. Josh and I did 150 today. I'll be glad to run it, but can't take a day off to do it. I certainly can on the weekend.
    Bob

Let's see 4 hrs. That means I can do it in about an hour and half. Keep an eye on weather, and we could do it on nice evening.

    Bob,
I can't do a pre-check this weekend - Hershey car show Saturday and the Braille Rally on Sunday.

I can do an evening drive too, let me know what day you want to go. We don't need to do the whole drive; the first third is bullet proof. I can e-mail the file to you if you want to look it over before driving it; just don't give it to anyone else. Once it is final I print copies and hand them out on the morning of the drive.

Please keep this list up to date so the restaurant reservation and number of instructions available can be correct. :)

I just realized that the Tom Yang Vintage Ferrari event is being held May 7, the same day as the Spring Drive. Dang! Wish it were otherwise, but I will have to bail on the Spring Drive, as I've wanted to get my beater 365 GTC poked at by the wrench heads at the vintage V12 gathering. I will delete my name from the drive's participants' list in another message. I'll look forward to latching up with everyone on a drive later in the year. Have fun!

Here is what I didn't want to miss. The photo below was posted on the FChat thread about the vintage event.

<<This is a great event really aimed at the automotive enthusiasts. All the cars in attendance are truly driven and enjoyed. The v-12 boys really flock to this event and share the comraderie that some may think is lost. If you are on the East Coast, you should think about rolling out to share some freshly grilled food and love of cars with some outstanding and in some cases, recognizable folks. Only admission cost is the price of gas.>>

I'm keeping my name on the list as of now, but I might have to cancel as well. Had the Viper serviced and inspected today, she's fine, except that my oil cooler lines are leaking at the fittings. This is a common issue for the 8.3L V10, and certainly not surprising given the age (8 years) and mileage. Nothing major, no drips on the garage floor, but my mechanic can see wetness on the undercarriage where it is blowing back from the compression fittings.

At any rate, she's fine to go the Hershey on Saturday, but she's going back in for her artery surgery next Thursday. Problem is, even though she'll be ready by Thursday afternoon, unless I can get there that evening (unlikely) I won't be able to get her until Saturday morning, and you guys will be long gone.

I'm trying to make an arrangement to pick up the car Thursday or Friday evening before they close, but that might not pan out. I'm a single guy, no wife or GF to pick me up!

Anthony, sorry my friend, maybe you can help navigate for one of the other gents here. If I am able to go, you still of course are welcome to be my passenger.

We won't leave before 9:30 AM if that helps. 10AM is the scheduled time, but if everyone is ready a little earlier...

Might help Don, thanks. I'm trying to make arrangements to pick up the car prior to Saturday, but knowing that is helpful.

No problem. If we leave too early the planned rest stop won't be open when we arrive there.
