I got to see the new radiators fabricated by Saldana Racing today, and they look great. All the measurements on the new ones are within 1mm of the old rads and most are directly spot on. The welds are fantastic and they should go in tomorrow. WE will be able to use the original fans on the new radiators as they made the exact same casings but TIG welded the frames and cores. I went to the shop to take a few pics and Ill post them here.

The set was $1,200.00 Custom built, all inlets and outlets, plugs etc included. The fans are from my car. I believe the large radiator was actually less than the small one since the larger one is a stock size core but the passenger side was fully mocked up. I dont know if subsequent pricing may be less since the prototype work has been done.

Very very nice. Just out of curiosity, what's the weight difference between aluminum and OEM radiators?

I didnt weigh them, good question. they are pretty light actually. the frames are very rigid and the welds are heavy. I dont think they weigh more than the brass/copper ones that come out.

I notice there are no attachment points for the fans. How are you going to mount them to the radiators?

Are the radiators the same on a 348 as on a F355?

Beautiful work! It is a shame to have to hide them inside of the car. I felt the same way about my Hill Engineering TO bearing unit. It is too bad that these beautiful parts have to be covered up.

The frames around the cores are the same size as the OEM and there are square bolts and nuts that will get drilled through the frames. New hardware to be used. Can also tap the frame to accept a direct screw but will use the hardware as designed. We need to find the rubber stripping that goes around them. Should be able to see them through the door strakes a little, but yeah they do look really freaking good.

The Radiators were $1200 for the pair as delivered. The remove and replace labor was estimated at about 4-5 hours with the fan attachments, new fluids fill and bleed, etc. The rads had to be sent back to Saldana racing, one time for a flange to be welded that was not correct, but heard from the shop today, and therye perfect now. going to go in tomorrow I hope. My new modular 360 wheels are having the hubs milled TODAY so those should be ready tomorrow for pick up and the new (shoes) Pirellis have arrived for mount and balance. then a 4 corner suspension alignment and lowering of the chassis and we should be rocking! Also redrilled and replaced the oil plugs, welded a new reverse gear flange to protect from an inadvertant shift, replaced the shift linkage and adjusted it. Fluids all around and regular check ups for the season.
Will post mounted radiator pics when I get them from the shop.
