mileage was 16k for 2 year old car..so about 8k km per year..used it on the weekends and sometimes on weekdays.

besides the tranny, the roof had probelms. steering lock had problems they had to change all the locks and keys.. was stranded twice. and other common issues. by the time i sold it everything was in perfect condition 3 days before i even changed the entire third brake light cause 1 bulb blew haha.

like i tell lung all the time if he needs someone to run his cars when he is out of town he knows who to call hahaha apparently MP was in line already

Agreed! i think its a singapore thing though. singaporean and stick shift dont go well together.

i always feel stick shift is more involving..no doubt slower than all the double clutch gearbox but its more fun.

Is it just a coincidence that the colour of that car is the same as a certain sour fruit? :D. Moral of the story: Ferraris must be red!

Thanks! RS? yeah, price price! :D

Oh boy, sorry to hear about those issues. Must have been quite a pain especially being stranded due to key lock issue! Geez

Think you did better than me. Strangely, I've only clocked 4K+ km in my GTC over a year but that's a VW :D

Btw, are you planning any drives/meets for the Lambo club? I'm trying to hook up the Malaysian guys so you people can have some fun together.

Really?! I always thought that Ferrari was red. My Brit design lecturer used to tell me, red is the color associated for Italian.

Erh, I wouldn't want to be @ the end of 350K in few years time mate. Very painful to buy hi-end Porsches u know what I mean but would love to have it. A used GT3Mk2 is something I desire & within reach. Probably the last of it's kind.

I see Marcus Yeo of Lambo KL quite often & at least I'm the middle-man with Ronnie Lim, who's also the other PR guy for the brand here. Hope u guys can make good use of the club, have some healthy drives, courses with factory, visits & trackdays. Let owners understand that the brand is more of Italian Bellissimo auto than Baccarat :D

then maybe the cars won't be flipped so often & retains better value ;)

I believe .... red was the colour chosen for Italy when Grand Prix racing first began. Britain was green, France blue, Germany silver & the USA blue with a white stripe (or was it the other way around?). Thus racing Ferraris, Alfas & Maseratis were red, Bentleys & Jags were "British Racing" Green & Mercs and Auto Unions were silver arrows, and Shelby Cobras Blue with a stripe. Ferrari yellow comes from the coat of arms for the city of Modena, Enzo's hometown.

Nah mate, mine aint for sale....

I don't think you should go down the path of a Superleg or a Scud. Given that you don't track your cars, you will be paying for a car which you will generally find harder to sell later on given its more niche market appeal... and hence reduced liquidity. That was actually why I was thinking about selling the RS for a mainstream car like the gallardo or a standard 430 at one point- for ease of sale.

Damn. Just took the rs for a spin. I suddenly remember why it's one of the best drivers cars of all time. Throttle input to determine steering, trail braking to get more front end bite. Forget acceleration. Forget looks. Forget high speed. This is true driving pleasure. Lionel, try the rs just once on the track before u decide on trading it...

Good point. I would place the SLs together with the G Spyders in terms of pricing and ease of sale. The Scud still commands a high premium so will be more niche I would think. But with the big Mac and 458, pricing for Scuds should ease off..perhaps in a year or so. Then there's also the G replacement in the very near future.

Now a regular '06-07 G coupe might be a "value" buy I would think for someone wanting to experience an exotic.

Make no mistake, I LOVE driving the RS....puts a smile on my face everytime I push it a little. It's more a pull rather than push factor, and unfortunately, I can't afford to have the RS and a F or L car! Yes, I might regret selling the RS later (like some of my precious rides)....

I am (or was) intending to track it....in fact, bought new track boots from Stand21, gloves and all but it is the time that I've a hard time sparing, with my family and church duties.

    Oh well....

Among the lot, the easiest to sell is a 430 spyder. Lots of guys and SYT sucker for the sex appeal of the spyder. Want to track, go for the SL or Scud. 458 is already out for 9 months and 430 prices still rather stable. Once prices hit the 500k range, lots more potential owners out there. So have you decided which one you going for or still confuse as hell:D

Rumors of a GT3 RS 4.0 to be unveiled at the next motor show as a final hurrah for the MkII range.

Sad part is all Singaporean articles from every mag I read are always totally sub par compared to the original stuff from Evo UK. The guys here don't have access to proper driving roads and cars that they actually push to the limits. Alot of disinformation and talk about looks etc without real substance. Luckily this time round they had Lung to describe the cars otherwise the article was really just as shallow as everything else I read from local writers. They should have brought the 3 cars to the track and sat as passengers at the very least and given impressions based on that. Sorry but the article was rubbish.

Fact. Not a rumour. As usual though they are lagging behind and copying what the independent tuners have been doing all along. There are already 3.9 litre 510bhp GT3s running around for a long time with top level reliability....
