Well it's done. After having the '07 coupe for a total of 5 months she's gone and the '08 Spider has taken her place. When I bought my first Fcar back in November I was in love. I was going to keep the coupe for 2 years then trade into something else. About a month ago I stopped by my dealer to get set up for a factory tour in July. That's when I saw the beauty below. I have always loved yellow cars but have never owned one. I always ended up settling for another color. We weren't able to make the deal happen a month ago and I was about to buy a car in CA. I went into my dealer to get a $5.00 rubber plug that was missing on my coupe and I told them that I was about to trade my car into the CA Ferrari dealer..... 15 minutes later I bought their car that was sitting on the show room floor. If I had to order a car it would be built just like the one I have. Next week I am going to have them put the flat black Challenge wheels that I had on my old car on the new one. They are also going to lower it by 22mm for me. I had just had the coupe lowered last week and loved the look and ride. Here are some pictures below.

I can't tell, who's air intake covers are those? Is the exhaust stock? Very pretty.

Nice swap. How do you like the CCBs? Looking forward to seeing the black wheels on the spider. They looked great on your coupe.

    Will do.

Ricambi made the air intake covers. I had them on the old car and put the on today. I don't know about the performance, but they sure do look cool. I also have some CF paddles on the ad section that I pulled off and want to sell. The exhaust is stock.

Don't know about the CCB's yet. Have only got to drive it from the dealer to the house in afternoon traffic.

Yeah, they do look good. And good call on losing the CF paddles. I have almost the exact same car and thought about paddles, but you really need the contrast in an all black interior, especially if already well optioned with CF already.

That's gorgeous. Spiders are the best.

Pop the top, floor the gas and shift at redline. Prepare to see heaven. When you hear that clunk of the gears slamming around in the back at 8500 RPM, you'll know what you've been missing from the coupe.

BTW: Someone upgraded the airfilter covers to those on the Scud. Nice!

I just traded my 02 360 on a 3,000 mile 07 Spider, what a difference the car is. Night and day and lots of carbon fiber everywhere, and a blue tooth phone doesn't hurt either.

I suspect I over paid for the really low miles but the car still has that new smell!

    Matt,
You and I are on the same page. I thought 5 months was quick, but 3 weeks! You're just nuts. I copied the comments we both made in the ad section a couple of weeks ago. Now we both have what we wanted. Congrats.

I made it six months before deciding to upgrade from my 360 spider to a 430 spider, and I really thought that was quick, too. I spent the winter haggling with the dealer, but I knew in Nov their giallo modena 430 would be mine. Didn't seal the deal until Feb when we'd closed the gap about $25k. Definitely seems to be a fundamental truth; if you can do the 430 up front, better off passing on the 360.

You're car's actually optioned quite a bit higher than mine, now that I've had a good look. I saw the wheels, but I didn't notice the brakes. That's significant.

That's good to know. I was really thinking I was the only crazy one out there. I need to let my wife read this thread. It was a hard sell. She kept saying wait until next year. Why wait? She really though I was joking with her right up to the second I pulled into the driveway! I think she's over it now. I'm so glad I did it, and I don't think I lost too much in the deal. The way I figure it, It costs me about 10K, but I also put 3k on the odometer during the five months that I owned the car. So that 10k nets out at about $22.00!

I was out closer to $15k and put 4k on the odometer, and rationalized it just about the same. My dealer told me it would happen. Told me I was better off putting the $10k I spent in an exhaust into an upgrade to a 430 as well, which accounts for $5k of the loss. Right both times. I don't like to listen. I know what I want and at the time I wanted a 360 spider with an aftermarket exhaust. I was in Ferrari of Wash paying the last bill on that upgrade when I saw my 430 to be. No, you're not the only crazy one here. Hopefully I'm done at least until this one is paid off. I do love your wheels/brakes, look great together.

Thanks. I like the wheels on the car but I think I like the flat black challenge wheel better. Like I said earlier I'm changing out the wheels and lowering the car this week. I think the flat black with the yellow calipers will look good along with a 22mm drop. My dealer is doing a first annual poker run this weekend with Ferrari, lambo's and Porsche it should be fun and I want my car looking good for the big event. I'll get some pics up when she's all done.

I didn't catch that earlier. Post pics when you're done, plz. It's a temptation to powder coat black and go for the full bumble bee. Easier to take care of as well. Polishing the stock aluminum rims ain't fun.
