    How can I determine the color of my interior. Just bought my 2000 550 and while I can see its red but is it Bordeaux? Someone called it Bordello red. Is there a color code somewhere? Is it part of the VIN #. I" trying to match leather for possibly new seats. Any help would be appreciated.

    Eric- Here are the leather colors of early 575Ms, which should be about the same as your 550. Unfortunately I do not have a build sheet for a car with a bordeaux interior, only a window sticker, so not sure what the code is. They will probably want to match your leather in any case, rather than using a Connolly code.

    Guess I should fill in this list for what I do have and then fill complete it as I learn more.

    Beige
    Blu
    Blu Scuro (dark blue)
    Bordeaux (red)
    Carta Da Zucchero (antique blue [sugar paper])
    Charcoal (very dark gray)
    Crema (cream)
    Cuoio Naturale (natural saddle/leather)
    Grigio Scuro (dark gray)
    Nero (black)
    Sabbia (sand)
    Verde (green)

    Eric- Naturally, Bordeaux is the one color I cannot see well enough to tell if it is 4401 or 4481. Here is the list and a better image. Tell me whether it is 4401 or 4481.

    Bordeaux it is! Thank you all for the info. The Cobra seat folks say they can provide their Misano seat covered at the factory with the matching leather for $2300 each. Not too bad but I would still have to come up with or fabricate an adapter. It's all a learning process but this forum is a wonderful resource. Thanks again.

    Eric- Make sure you save the original seats. Many people would not buy a car with aftermarket seats.

    Maybe it's just my color perception, but the sabbia and crema samples seem medium and light gray respectively and are neither. Sabbia (sand) has a slight yellow-brown tinge absent in the pictures.

    Allan, Barry- I mildly PhotoShopped the photo in #4. It shows the colors better, but made it harder to read the codes. Almost impossible to get good color matches in photos, at any rate.

    Hey Guys,

    I found a Spider with a Blu Scuro (dark blue) 3282
    interior on line. I have not seen this color in person (yet).

    Looking at your color chart (awesome work), it looks like a dark navy blue, almost black. Does anyone have this color, or seen it, to confirm my perception?

    Its really hard to tell with photos online!

    My dash and steering wheel are Blu Scuro 3282. It's a very dark blue and looks black in certain lighting conditions.

    Thank you. It looks like a deep navy blue to me.

    As an aside, I am on the fence with an F1 or manual tranny (drove an f1, not driven a 6spd, yet). You obviously prefer the manual (rhertorical question I know), but how do you like it and why do your prefer it?

    Thanks, Chris. My 550 is Blu Pozzi with Beige 4208 seats and Blu Scuro 3282 piping to match the dash. The carpeting is Blu 168.

    I think the original owner showed good taste when he ordered his 550.
