Hi Jay.....I saw your car there but when I came back around from my walk, it was gone. I guess I just missed you.
hence why i asked, i thought it was the yellow one, not the red one trying to be a 328 Welcome home pork chop how was the trip ?
He has owned the car since the early 80's, before the 328 even came out. I would assume that the spoiler was standard?
There is no spoiler and no right passenger door mirror on the early 308 cars. hence why i asked, and thought it may have been another car. Is it really a glass car or maybe a QV...i thought it was a qvgtb Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is that silver car with black trim a Lancia Beta parked next to the Lamborghini? They didn't sell those cars new here... CH
Yeah, I was there since about 8. I went and got a veal and then went home. Great turn out, sorry I missed you. I did however see Marlon, Rob, Rocco and the "Paparazzi Boys" who seem to have scamed their way into a few choice rides!
Close Mr.C It's a Lancia Scorpion if i'm not mistaken! EDIT: From some breif research I do think they were called Scorpions in the NA market and Monte Carlo's over seas. "Monte Carlo" was already taken by GM here as we know
ok, i like the wheel upgrade....does he still have the original 14s ? Ask him, i would like to see them if they are better than my 14s, and if he wants to part with them. Thanks L !
I'll ask him.......but why don't you get your lazy a$$ up to Woodbridge on Thursday nights for the show? Maybe we can all meet in person!
It is a Beta. The Monte Carlo (Scorpion here) was the final Beta model. If that silver one is the one I think it is, ask for a ride....makes a ferrari seem slow. The guy is retired as some sort of mechanical/nuclear power engineer and i swear he has his Scorpion nuclear powered.....wait til she takes off and pulls hard from 7,000 to 9,000 rpm. He has done a marvelous job upgrading his engine. Beev
Mr. Rare thanks for clarifying. I do believe I saw you at the VW show today. Well actually, I saw your cool Mityfast ride! It was an obvious favourite for good reason. Next time i'll have stick around and say hello. The show wasnt a bad and had a great turnout. I used to be really involved with the VW scene and havent made a visit in a while. It was good seeing old faces. I really wish I had my suped up GTi(s) back!!! Who's 308 GTSi was that outside with the cool license plate?
I wish you had introduced yourself...it was a great show. I did not see the GTSi but I spoke with the owner and his friend (who also had a 308 there somewhere) and neither are on F chat...did not get their names. I will be at Vagkraft again next year...I am currently getting a hot engine built which should make me very competitive in the Vagkraft Autocross (the porsche kit car has won the autocross 3 years in a row now and someone has to change it up). GTi s are kewl. Beev
Thank you for the details Beev! Another neat Italian ride years ago was the Fiat X1/9. The Willowdale Ferrari dealer YSM also sold those little cars. I drove a beige X1/9 example a couple of times and they were great fun. They are another Italian car you seldom see anymore... CH
Pretty good turnout tonight: 308 (x2) Giallo 348tb Rosso Testarossa Nero Ghibli SS Argento Gran Sport Spider Gran Turismo S (I can't remember what colour it was, but it sounded mean!) Arancio Gallardo Nero Pantera GTS Etc. In other news, there's a nero 16M Scuderia Spider at Ferrari of Ontario and a white 997 GT3 RS at Pfaff Porsche. Photos coming soon...
Bump... So whens the first big turnout this year? My kid wants to plant sticky fingers and drool on your clean windows?
Next Thursday. Don't forget to tell him or her to bring plenty of messy peanut butter and jam sandwiches to feed to the hungry Espada that will be there! It told me it loves those!
