On Saturday I finally had the pleasure to go and pick up my 360 from Ferrari service... after a fresh fluid exchange and installation of Fabspeed's headers. Now my set up is Fabspeed's header + sport cars + airboxes + Tubi mufflers = holy !@#$% it sounds amazing. Last year i had a few Maseratis' drive by sounding more like Ferrari than mine did??!! I had to put an end to that :)

To be honest I was quite scared for the first 5seconds... is it too much? NOT at all!!! I believe this is the best set up when cruising it prrrrs when I hammer-it IT screams.

I'd like to thank Fabspeed for their design and craftsmanship - PERFECTION!

BTW the throttle response is much more responsive in my opinion!

Besides the real Formula 1 sound now my engine-bay is complete... showing off the chromed headers - looks like real F1 engine.

I'll post a sound clip soon. I'd love to hear from other owners and their set up.

U mean the headers can be seen thru the engine bay in a 360? Coz I cant see mine in my 430.

I think you were referring to the tubi muffler.

No if you look through the glass on either side of the engine you can see them... Obvious u need to know what u are looking for as they are tucked away.

Even the service manager was impressed with the craftsmanship of the headers... It's always nice to add a little something every ever. Keeps life exciting.

Thank you for the kind words about our headers. The picture below is not the OP's car, but it is a 360 that was in our shop a few months ago for a header install. Notice the Fabspeed headers poking out a bit. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

I agree w/everything you say. I had Fabspeed headers and sport cats installed last Fall (already had the Tubi) and the sound is now as close to F1 as you can get! The car feels like it got a 50hp boost and oh did I mention the sound! Not to mention the beautiful headers in the engine bay. Sheer joy, now the car sounds like a Ferrari!

Busted :) yes that's my car. Not much left to add but maybe a challenge grill. So you believe me when I said "when I first started it... I got scared" - in a good way.
I'm going to attempt a sound clip, we will see how it turns out.

I have a 360 totally stock - where to start? I love the Tubi sound, so I want your exact setup I think. Did you have Tubi installed on your stock setup and then go the Fabspeed way? Looking for your recommendations.

did you have to install any type of heat shielding with the fabspeed headers? someone told me the tubi headers come with heat shielding but is that really necessary?

    +1 here too!

Do you think it is always wise to have the heat shield on them?
Capristo do an amazing heat shield, check it on their website.

Hey... not sure what your budget is. Mine came with Tubi, but I know that Fabspeed has a really nice exhaust system - to consider! I would contact Jeff ([email protected]) and see what they can do for you if you buy the complete package. I did Pre-cats an Airboxes last year and headers this year. I honestly think this is the best upgrade you can do to any 360 it really wakes up the car. The craftsmanship of Fabspeed products is second to none! Good luck and have fun.

I am glad you are loving the sound with our products! The 360 headers include a heat shield and I would recommend using them. I can't think of why you wouldn't want to... they should only take 10-15 minutes per side to fit.

Regarding our products, the headers, sport cats, and airboxes combine to make a great increase in power and sound. Our muffler is great and made slightly more power than the Tubi on our dyno. The sound is a little deeper than the Tubi... I guess it really depends what type of sound you are looking for. Plus we will be less expensive :)

Please feel free to contact me via PM, email, or phone for more info.

    Thanks!

Is heat shielding necessary if you get the headers ceramic coated?

After speaking with a few more people regarding the heat shielding, it is recommended but not mandatory. We do have a few customers who do not use them and we have not had a problem. The main reason for them is to reflect heat away from other components in the same area, especially the air conditioning compressor.

The ceramic coating may help the temps a bit, but personally, I would skip the coating and fit the heat sheilds.

Interesting. How heavy is the heat shielding? I assume it doesn't add much weight right?

The heat shielding that comes with the Fabspeed headers (based on pics I've seen) consist of bolted-on metal plates that deflect the heat away from the parts being protected. I would definitely use them if I got their headers.

And speaking of heat shielding, do the Capristo "wrap"-type shields fit Fabspeed headers with no interference problems? They don't touch anything do they, once installed over the Fabspeed headers?

I know it's pricey, but if/when I get Fabspeeds I want to use the Capristo shielding with them. It will greatly reduce engine compartment temps (which can only prolong the life of all the components in there) and reduce the chance of a fire should any flammable liquids ever leak or spill.

I am with you on this too.
If only Fabspeed had the same heat shield as Capristo, I would also be interested in their header and cat set up, but I dont want to compromise the reliability of other parts.
