I have read your posts several times and still have no idea what you're on about either. It's not him, please explain what you mean.
Ironic, that you would post that in this thread......Tavo and company are trying.... Try and find pictures of my ex-boyfriend simon^2, do that, and I'm a gonna be really impressed
I'd like to know what credence to give the opinions which he's presented. If his are personal observations and predictions fine. That's all I offer. But I'd like to know if there's anything more to them. People on F-Chat know me either personally or by reputation. I've posted personal information, including photos, all I want from him is a bit of context. I thought it a simple request and his unwillingness surprises me.
Thanks for the clarification, I thought we covered this whenever Tavo & co. had their press release. I have no inside information in this project. Nor do I stand to benefit from its success or failure. Apparently I'm getting questioned, because I take someone at their word when they say they are moving forward........ Simon^2 - Thanks for the laugh, dude. Do you really have nothing better to do?
No worries. I was just thrown for a loop, because I assumed you remembered going over this a few weeks back. I believe I made a comment about the business plan being 'thoughtful' and you asked if I had first hand knowledge. I appreciate you keeping it civil
Looking at the attached photo recently posted by COTA and comparing it to the diagram of the circuit layout in COTA's permit filings would appear to show that they are currently moving dirt on only about 20% of the track property. This evidence suggests that they are either waiting on permits or money to full scale the workforce to meet their ambitious timeframe. Something is amiss. Nonetheless--they have a very, very, long way to go. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
You can find even more plans for the site here: https://www.ci.austin.tx.us/devreview/b_showpublicpermitfolderdetails.jsp?FolderRSN=10482716 going to warn you, the tif files are very large....... I think the issue is, they aren't letting them put up permenant structures until the road improvement issue is resolved. They're trying to set up a special taxing district to fund the improvements...... The timeframe is quite ambitious, but definanetely achievable. and not too far of a stretch
I think the world 'heard of' Austin when that sniper waz up in the Tower, brudda..... AMD is a huge presence there (Ferrari Team sponsor) and there's Dell and Texas Instruments. Those are all 'world' industries.....
I suggest you ask some non Austin folks where that incident took place. I doubt you'll get more than Texas as an answer within the US. And nobody in Europe knows about this. I learned about it after coming to this country but didn't even remember vaguely that this was Austin. Nor did I care. Sorry, that was a sad event, but so what? There are tons of crazy gun men out there all the time. Everybody knows these companies but again I doubt anybody outside of Austin would know where they're based. I knew ti was based in Texas. That's it. And I'm pretty sure that's how most people see it. F1 might not be a big deal in this country, but it is the most watched sport in the world. Having a F1 race will guarantee that Austin truly becomes a household name. Whether that household is in Europe, South America, Australia, Japan or elsewhere. And household names are places where tourists flock to.
A lot of people here don't even remember it. Was at a Tool concert back in 03, and they had the whole auditorium chanting 'charles whitman......charles whitman.....' and i wondered if they had any clue. Austin may not be known on the world stage, but I would guess Texas is probably the most known state outside of America. Senate is moving to pass the Houses budget bill. Trying to figure out if they included the tax incentives in it.....I know the bill originating in the senate was trying to take them out.......
