This is how it left the factory. This is how it is today.

Indeed 1038 has come a long way, and hopefully will remain the way it is today, just as it was delivered April the 13th 1979, and collected that day by Jay Felter for H.R.H the Prince. Its nice to see an effort at originality come to fruition.

I believe this is LP400 1120134. Here is what the registry says:

"One-time Alpine company car, this Black/Red car was one of 2 SS Targas built in California with LP400S2 flares and wing. It is not a Mardikian conversion. Reported stolen from California years ago.
Still in Germany as of Dec 2004. Appeared briefly for sale through Oldtimer Classic Center in Germany until they learned of this car's questionable ownership and pulled its listing. Not seen since"

Hey great, we can have the "factory or privateer S conversion" fight all over again!

Little chance of that. Google is your friend. This is a cut Countach and all mods are non-factory.

I ALMOST BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR 65,000 EURO. BEING REGISTERED IN GERMANY MEANT THAT IT WAS PROBABLY CHECKED IF IT WAS ON THE INTERPOL STOLEN LIST, BUT I DID NOT HAVE THE COURAGE TO BUY SOMETHING, RESTORE IT THAN HAVE THE ORIGINAL OWNER COME AND SAY "THANKS, NOW GIVE ME THE KEYS". I DISCUSSED THIS POSSIBLE PURCHASE AT LENGTH WITH EMILIO

Ive sold a very nice un-restored one for $305,000 plus commission, so how about the top range for a nice restored one being $400,000.

    You asked, Ive answered.

As the owner of 1121006, this is so true and this is more accurate.

It is nice how the classic Lamborghini autos, have done well over the last few years.

I remember Peter's car listed for sale, just before he purchased it.

I also remember the phone call a few years ago from Jim Kaminsky, who said you could buy a SV, for between 250-300K.

The modern exotic production cars, are really taking it on the chin.
