Best cellphone/service today - need help

    My wife wants a cell/service. What do you reccommend. She says she wants the iphone but really needs just a phone.

    Who's got the best deals these days and good local service plan? Nothing fancy? Speaks a lot to her sister out of town so I'd like a service that doesn't rack up a lot of expense for that - any suggestions?

    Well, between Verizon and AT&T for the iphone, you have to go with Verizon. I'm not sure how it is in Kentucky but coverage is awful over here for AT&T users.

    It depends... if you want her to actually be able to USE the phone go Verizon. If you want her to often say "Huh," 'can you repeat that' and "I'm sorry can you say that again, my phone broke up." Go AT&T.

    But I gotta ask.. you wife still doesn't have a cell phone?

    Also if you go Verizon (and have a decent plan) she gets to name 10 phone numbers off the Verizon network that she can call unlimited for fee. (for the sister of course) The few people in my world that aren't on Verizon I put into that system and saved like 400 minutes a month.

    Yea can you believe it and last month she wanted me to get rid of my cassette player and threw out my Members Only jacket.

    She is seriously getting an attitude.

    I agree with the Verizon over AT&T statement. I have an Iphone 4 with AT&T and it sucks (both phone and service). AT&T itself is just terrible around here. Lots of dropped calls and dead spots makes data service difficult in many parts.

    I went from Verizon and a Motorola Droid to AT&T and Iphone4. I shouldn't complain as my work pays for it, but I miss my previous combo immensely!
