I was in Bernardsville, NJ today and spotted a car I couldn't identify going in the opposite direction on Route 202. If I had to guess I'd say it was a convertible Iso Grifo in bright yellow, but googling that just said one was made as a prototype.

I know there's a charity drive tomorrow in the area with a lot of exotics, which I can't attend, but could this car (whatever it is) be on the subscribed attendance list? Sorry I didn't have time to turn around and chase this car, whatever it is.

    Interesting

Only one grifo spyder made car number 002 it sits in LA unreastored.

3 copies made from coupes, but all of those are in Germany. None were yellow.

Not a Ghibli spyder, I can say that for sure. Growing up we had a yellow Grifo here in town (with what would be called thesedays a MILF driver) so I'm pretty familiar with the form. I'm going crazy trying to figure out what it was.

What Grifo-like features did you see? Quad headlights? The front fender vents? Or just the overall shape?

I was directing the question to the OP so that I could better help him figure out what it was that he saw. For example, if he remembers seeing the quad headlights and fender vents but didn't get a good look at the overall shape, it might have even been something like this:

Of all the suggestions I'd say the Frua 428 cab comes closest. All the rest I'd have recognized. If I see the car again I'll follow it until the owner stops. Since I saw it not far from The Stable next time I'm there I'll ask if they know the car. I'll also ask around next time I go to Cars and Croissants, although I've never seen that car in attendance (but I don't go every occasion either). Thanks for all the suggestions, I get hugely frustrated when I can't pin down a make/model!

That must have been the one in Short Hills, NJ, yellow 4sp. she used to model with Beverly Sassoon (Vidal's wife) as twins when they were kids. She's a mom of 3

Exactly right, I did nail it with the 'milf' designation! Does she still live here? I remember it often near Community Congregational Church.
